Rumor: Microsoft is Planning a 250GB XBox 360 Bundle? 200°
August 29, 2009 // 11:54 pm - Recently two different retailers released a listing for a new Xbox 360 bundle with a substantial hard drive boost.

Amazon Germany listed a 250GB Xbox 360 Elite as well as South African site, both with the same new SKU.

Sony is Planning Facebook and PS3 In-game Tie-in 400°
April 10, 2009 // 12:42 pm - Those who have dreamed of your Facebook profile automatically being updated when you gain a trophy on a PS3 game may soon get your wish.

Sony's John Davidson has indicated that they are already working on a PS3-Facebook integration system for games, to quote:

According to Joystiq, a panelist asked John Davidson from Sony whether there would ever be a time when someone could do something on a PS3 game and then could 'spit it out to Facebook'.

Rumor: Sony Planning PSP-4000 in 2009, PSP2 to Arrive Later 50°
December 16, 2008 // 9:13 pm - Eurogamer (linked above) posted news that a PSP-4000 will be released in 2009, which will apparently feature slight hardware upgrades.

They also mentioned that a PSP2 is still planned, despite David Reeve's recent denial.

To quote: Sony plans to refresh the PlayStation Portable product line with a PSP-4000 model in late 2009 and launch a true successor - a PSP2, if you like - later.

Rumor: SEGA Planning to Launch SEGA Vision Portable in 2009 300°
October 3, 2008 // 10:38 pm - Reports from UK Web site The Register (linked above) indicate that SEGA is planning to release a 'PSP beater' in 2009 called the SEGA Vision.

It will be a portable media player with video game functionality, as well as having the ability to play films and being able to capture images and video. Other features include a built in TV Tuner and e-book viewer.

To quote: Sega will next year launch a portable media player boasting enough functionality to threaten Sony's PlayStation Portable, the Register Hardware can exclusively reveal.

Rumor: EA Planning to Buy Epic Games, Interested in Unreal 4.0? 100°
October 3, 2008 // 10:18 pm - Electronic Arts is hunting to rebuild its connection with the hardcore by releasing a plethora of new IP's titles that appeal specifically to a certain section of the gaming arena.

Their recent deal with an internal Epic Games Studio "People Can Fly" (creators of Painkiller) and Grasshopper Studios is just a minor step in this direction.

Square Enix Planning Tecmo Buy Out 50°
August 28, 2008 // 9:50 pm - According to a Reuters report (linked above), Square Enix is planning to purchase Tecmo, owner of the popular Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises.

Today, the RPG-focused publisher placed a bid valued at 920 yen per share, for more than half of Tecmo's shares.

As of writing, Tecmo has yet to respond to the bid, which expires on September 4. If rejected or ignored, Square Enix does not plan to reup the offer, as it is aiming for a friendly transaction.

The move would no doubt broaden Square's portfolio, which consists largely of RPG centric titles.
