Rumor: Leaked Image Hints at Dead or Alive 5 Coming to PS3?

Rumor: Leaked Image Hints at Dead or Alive 5 Coming to PS3? 200°
239w ago - Here is one from the rumormill, blackxino (linked above) has shared a leaked image of what is purported to be the first hint that Dead or Alive 5 is coming to Sony's PS3 entertainment system.

Pictured below, the alleged DOA5 main game menu image contains an 'X' and 'O' button indicating that it is playable on the PlayStation 3 console.

However, Dead or Alive 4 was exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox 360 so needless to say until Tecmo and Team Ninja confirm this it is purely speculation at the present time.

To quote: "Look at Image! PS3 controller buttons. I just obtained this leaked image, that is all. :P Don't ask me how I got it, let's just say through the hard work on this idea site.

Too bad I'm not a journalist so therefore I can't contact Tecmo Koei about this. If you are a journalist, do me (us readers) a favor and get in touch with PR of TK-A/TKE about this image.

The main thing is if Tecmo Koei sees the hit about this, they would consider announcing DOA 5 at Tokyo Game Show 2010 because people seem to be interested in DOA 5 even after it's long absence for 4 years."

Kojima Hints at Possible Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PS3 Port

Kojima Hints at Possible Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PS3 Port 550°
243w ago - Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker was released this past June for PSP, however, despite Kojima Productions previously ruling out a PS3 port Hideo Kojima hinted at just that in a recent interview with French video game news site JeuxVideo.

Conducted at Japan Expo, Hideo Kojima briefly commented on the possibility of porting Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from the PSP to the PlayStation 3 entertainment system.

To quote: "I can not say I'll do a direct conversion of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on Playstation 3.

However, this game was a challenge in terms of its development on the PSP for me and I probably will preserve the base of it. And if I had to port it to another console, I would add even more depth to the story."

Sony PlayStation Hints on New Hardware Revealed at E3 2010

Sony PlayStation Hints on New Hardware Revealed at E3 2010 500°
246w ago - The Electronic Entertainment Expo is set to begin this week, and according to Sony's PlayStation E3 2010 site they are set to reveal new hardware at this year's conference.

Excluding the PlayStation Motion Controller, it is more likely a PSP2 may be revealed this year over the recently rumored PS4.

To quote: "According to the official Sony E3 site, Sony will showcase new hardware on Tuesday: E3 2010 is coming! Meet us here to see what awesome games and hardware is being revealed!

While some speculate a PSP2 announcement from Sony is a possibility, the best bet right now would be another revision of the current PSP hardware with a design more akin to that of the PSPGo or the hardware simply being the Move controller.

Sony is set to take stage at E3 in just over 2-days, so we'll know for certain then."

Braid Creator Drops Hints of a Possible PS3 Linux Port

Braid Creator Drops Hints of a Possible PS3 Linux Port 300°
264w ago - Roughly three months ago Braid was released on PS3 via PSN, however, recently I contacted creator Jonathan Blow and asked him about a possible port of the game to PlayStation 3 Linux.

To quote: I've asked Jonathan whether or not a Linux port of the game was in the works, since I've seen him hint at that in old posts on his blog (January 2007 and August 2008). I'm glad to say that he reported that a Linux port of the game was indeed being developed. To quote:

"[..] one is in progress but hasn't quite been completed, but may eventually be released."

He also said that the porting is about 95% complete, but I don't know how much time it will take for the remaining 5% to be completed, so maybe it will soon be available, maybe not, but this is great hope for the Linux community!

I also spoke with him a little about Open Source, and I was pleasantly surprised to see him not completely reject the idea of open sourcing his game, but he said "it is not likely at this time", so although it is not likely to happen, it is maybe another...

Kojima Productions Hints at MGS: Peace Walker PSP Surprise

Kojima Productions Hints at MGS: Peace Walker PSP Surprise 400°
264w ago - A recent post on the Kojima Productions blog drops hints the company might be getting ready to reveal a long-awaited Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP surprise.

In the post, PR manager Jiro Oishi says the following after talking about touring Japan to show off the co-op play in Peace Walker, to quote:

"However, in truth, there's another ultimate charm outside of co-op play hidden in PW."

The original birth of this news came from an earlier blog entry by Hideo Kojima himself, so it is likely that Oishi and Kojima are both speaking about the same unannounced feature.

To date, there hasn't been any such announcement for the game that would make people rush out to buy a PSP, so only time will tell what surprise Peace Walker may hold for fans.
