This feature is focused exclusively on graphics. We're going to take a stroll through every console designed...

Start-Up Caustic Graphics Inc. Promises More Game Realism 100°
March 9, 2009 // 5:30 pm - A start-up founded by former Apple Inc. engineers said it has developed technology that could bring film-like realism to computer games and change the way movie makers and other design professionals work.

The San Francisco company, Caustic Graphics Inc., plans to exploit a technique called ray-tracing that generates extremely accurate three-dimensional images. Ray-tracing is a mainstay of Hollywood studios, but remains out of reach for most PC users. A single image can take hours to generate; rendering a film can take months on hundreds of server systems.

Resident Evil 5 for PS3: Next-Gen Graphics, Last-Gen Game Play 500°
February 18, 2009 // 9:10 am - By now, many of you have played the Resident Evil 5 Demo. It's apparent to most the demo has outstanding graphics; truly next generation graphics (current gen).

It's hard not to think why Capcom would deliver on outstanding graphics, but deliver a horrendous game play. Sure this was acceptable last generation for various reasons. Take a look at what I mean.

When Resident Evil first came out you could not run and shoot at the same time but back then the game play was forgiving because the monsters were slow and you can literally run around them. Just seeing Resident...
