PS4 Pro Tip: Use Docs for PlayStation on PlayStation 4, Details

50°
9w ago - Today JM Garcia shared a PS4 pro tip to use Docs for PlayStation on PlayStation 4 with details below, as follows:

Happy holidays, everyone! I know a lot of you may be new PS4 owners, so I wanted to welcome you to the PlayStation Nation and offer up a little not-so-secret pro tip to help you out while you're gaming: Docs for PlayStation.

If you're like me, you don't like having to search through a paper instruction manual or scour the internet to find game info and the controller guide for your new game.

With Docs for PlayStation, you've got a one-stop destination where you can access what you need right from your console, smartphone, tablet, or PC.

Docs launched alongside PS4 last November and it has replaced printed manuals for first-party PlayStation titles, as well as select third-party games.

You might have used Docs and not even realized it - you can find the digital manuals on PS4 in a game's Live Tile (press down when you have highlighted a game on PS4's Dynamic Menu). Once you're in, you'll find guides, tutorials, detailed maps, the latest info on DLC or just a quick controller reference guide.

And if you're playing and don't want to pause your game, just go to Docs for PlayStation on your smartphone, tablet, or computer via a web browser,...

Plex App is Now Available for PlayStation 3 and PS4 Platforms, Details

550°
10w ago - Today the Plex application is officially released for PlayStation 3 and PS4 console platforms, although it currently is only available through Sony's European and Asian PSN Stores with more details below.

To quote: Plex: Now on Sega Genesis! Just Kidding, PS3 and PS4

Just over two months ago, we launched Plex for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 with great fanfare and a bevy of Barkley photos. And much rejoicing.

The very next day, Mr. lm_92 (presumably his dad worked for Texas Instruments) created a feature request in the Plex Pass member forum asking for a Plex app for the PlayStation 4. Since then, his request has been voted on almost one thousand times, and rocketed to become the number one request. Ever.

We noticed this meteoric rise just a week ago, and - jolted out of our usual slack-jawed complacency - we set ourselves up with some intravenous caffeine drips and coded for three days straight. In less time than it took to create, well, the Universe, we had the app running on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, so we took the rest of the week off and played a bunch of hacky sack.

OK, in all honesty, it did take us a bit longer than that. Like, we actually...

Video: Super Time Force Ultra Headed to PS4 and PlayStation Vita

12w ago - Capybara Games Co-founder and President Nathan Vella announced today alongside a video trailer that Super Time Force Ultra is headed to PS4 and PlayStation Vita platforms.

Below are the details, to quote: Nathan here from Capy. It's... TIME... to have a little chat, folks.

It's been while since I've been on the Blog (anyone remember Critter Crunch?), but I couldn't be more stoked to be back. I'm very excited to announce that our time-travelling platformer SUPER TIME FORCE ULTRA is headed to PS4 and PS Vita! Here's a little trailer to prove it:

We've been super proud of the response to the game so far- including tons of great reviews from fans & critics, some insane speedruns on YouTube, and even some fancy awards! However, we often got messages from fans that fell into two categories:

1) questioning the plausibility of time travel truly altering the future (we hear you, astrophysicist fans!), and 2) loud pleas to bring the game to PlayStation (we heard you too, loud and clear!).

Concerning the often-misguided exploits of a rag-tag bunch of time travelling lunatics, SUPER TIME FORCE ULTRA is a crazy romp through the space-time continuum. Using a Mega-Man-style world select, players can...

Video: The Forest: Open-World Survival Horror Hitting PlayStation 4

50°
12w ago - Endnight Games Co-Founder Anna Terekhova announced today that open-world survival horror game The Forest is hitting PlayStation 4 with a PS4 video trailer below!

To quote: Think back to your childhood days: playing outside, building a fort, skipping a stone on a lake... now add cannibals who want to tear you apart.

This is 'The Forest' and it's on its way to PS4.

There are no missions, no NPC's telling you what to do and no text in the middle of the screen telling you to 'Follow.' You know those parts in games where some character is yelling at you, telling you what to do and to do it faster? Those moments' drive us crazy.

When we're in a game world we want to choose what we do and how we do it. This has been the driving force behind all the decisions we make. What would give players the most freedom and options. We think the best stories in games are the ones that occur on their own, the ones you experience naturally in the world.

Something we've learned over the past 6 months is that people love to share their gameplay experiences, as well as watch other people's playthroughs. Using the PS4 Share feature makes this even easier for players.

People can show off the bases...

Video: Final Horizon Out Tomorrow on PS4 and PS Vita Platforms

13w ago - Eiconic Games Art and Creative Director Simon Credland shared a video today confirming that Final Horizon arrives tomorrow on PS4 and PS Vita platforms!

Below are the details, to quote: This is Si at indie games developer Eiconic Games in the UK. We're very proud to announce that Final Horizon is launching on PS Vita and PS4 tomorrow, December 2nd.

Building on the success of our arcade action game Total Recoil we wanted to make a Tower Defence game our own way, with our own blend of action and strategy.

We've really levelled things up for this game. The killstreaks are crazier, the enemies are smarter, the weapons are cooler and we're really happy with the result.

We have spent a lot of time developing, testing and refining the enemy AI so it feels like alien behaviour. The Swarm will rush forward in spider-legged tanks and launch rockets from distance in their Skorpion heavy assault vehicles.

They'll swoop in with airbourne Hornets and Mecha-Wasps that will flock together for maximum impact. Then you meet the Scarab. The Scarab tunnels underground and breaks the surface behind your defences. You will really need to learn and adapt to complete the game.

We would like...
