Both press and players alike universally adore Feed Me Oil. It's simple, yet deceptively challenging, gameplay made it a benchmark for physics puzzlers and we're extremely pleased to be able to bring it to PlayStation Mobile.

110w ago - Trion Worlds Director of Community Elizabeth Tobey has posted up a video today announcing that MMO shooter Defiance is coming to PS3 with no monthly fees.

To quote: This April, fire up your PlayStation 3 and dive into Defiance: a massive open-world third person shooter in development at Trion Worlds.

Today, we announced a full array of editions (and some sweet pre-order bonuses) but before we dive into that, let me give you a rundown on what Defiance is all about.

Decades ago, arks that carried the six species of the Votanis Collective to Earth. Their star system had been destroyed and they needed a new home. Unfortunately, their peaceful intentions led to a planet-wide war that culminated in the complete destruction of their ships. Their great terraforming machines crashed to earth and the face of our world was changed forever.

Fifteen years later, you take on the role of an ark hunter, a specialized scavenger who digs through the rubble of the fallen arks to uncover advanced technology, weapons, and other valuable loot. You have been hired by Von Bach Industries to find powerful ark technology capable of repairing our now broken planet.

Sony Details Split / Second PSP Hands-on: Feeling the Burn

Sony Details Split / Second PSP Hands-on: Feeling the Burn 50°
228w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared Split / Second PSP hands-on details today in what they call 'Feeling the Burn' of the upcoming title.

To quote: I know what you're thinking, and yes, the airplane still crashes onto the track in the middle of the race on the Airport Terminal track.

Track layouts also distort dynamically, environments crumble realistically, and towers teeter and topple majestically under the destructive spark of Split/Second's signature Power Plays.

In short, despite the smaller screen size, Split/Second's PSP incarnation does not skimp on the spectacle. The PSP version releases on November 16th with four-player ad-hoc Wifi multiplayer, and this week I took a pre-release version of the game for a spin.

Thanks to some dazzling real-time lighting and particle effects, Split/Second on the PSP looks remarkably similar to its PS3 big brother. The tracks layouts are nigh-identical, and the gameplay zips along at a speedy clip, blasting energetically through every one of its 30 frames per second no matter how many fireworks are on the screen.

The controls have been been subtly tweaked to accommodate the mobile nature of PSP gameplay, and they feel tight and responsive on the analog stick and d-pad. You can still slipstream...

EA Details Medal of Honor's Multiplayer PS3 Beta Feedback 200°
236w ago - EA Community Manager Matthew Pruitt has shared details today on how user feedback helped shape Medal of Honor's Multiplayer PS3 Beta.

To quote: The Medal of Honor beta is now closed and we want to thank you, PlayStation fans, for supporting us! The turnout was tremendous and we could not have asked for a better experience.

It is always great to do a true beta like this, because at the end of the day, this game is for you, the gamers. We received some amazing feedback and opted to extend the beta to make sure that we were able to hear as much of it as we could. Twitter, Facebook, and our forums have been blowing up with comments and we have been taking many notes.

We have learned a lot, and we wanted to take this opportunity to run down some of the major changes/fixes we have made to the game as a direct result of your feedback.

Improved Hit Detection

This was a very big issue and came up many times in the forums. We are glad to say that hit detection has been vastly improved. We really tightened up the mechanics and essentially, wherever the bullet hits on the body – that is where the hit registers. It is even possible to shoot and have the bullet go between someone's legs - it is...
