August 27, 2009 // 8:23 pm - At E3 Microsoft said that Xbox Live users would need to be Gold members (requiring an annual fee) to access Last.fm without paying for a Last.fm-specific subscription.

What Microsoft didn't mention, however, was that these limitations would extend to both Facebook and Twitter as well.

E3 2009: XBox Live to Get Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm 50°
June 1, 2009 // 7:28 pm - Well many things were announced for Xbox Live today at the E3 2009 Press Conference.

First off, XBox 360 will be getting Last.Fm, which is a free radio station on the Internet.

Second, they announced that XBox 360 owners can now easily link up Facebook with the XBox live account, same with Twitter.

You can upload pictures and view new messgaes, pictures, and many other things you usually do with Facebook and Twitter.

This is good for all 360 owners, but PS3 owners can do this already with the Web browser.

February 18, 2009 // 7:40 pm - The row over Facebook's change in its terms of service governing users personal data highlights the need for a privacy law, claims a leading watchdog.

Sony canned Facebook style platform for PSOne 100°
March 28, 2008 // 4:57 pm - Former Sony Entertainment President Chris Deering has said that a "secret Facebook-style web networking platform was being worked on behind-the-scenes by those responsible for launching PSOne."

Facebook sees decline in users 50°
February 21, 2008 // 4:29 pm - Social networking site Facebook has seen its first drop in UK users in January, new industry data indicates.

Users fell 5% to 8.5 million in January from 8.9 million in December, according to data from Nielsen Online.

This was the first drop in user numbers since July 2006 when Nielsen began compiling data on the site.

Nic Howell, deputy editor of industry magazine New Media Age, said the site was no longer as popular among its core audience of young people.
