SCEE Announces PSN Cards and Video Store Coming to Europe! 500°
August 11, 2009 // 5:43 pm - Today SCEE has officially confirmed the rumor that PlayStation Network Cards are making their way to Europe.

Angela Madronero, European PlayStation Store Manager, announced that more information on PSN Cards will be revealed 'in the not too distant future'.

Additionally, she stated the following regarding Europe getting a video and music download service:

"We will be making an official announcement regarding our forthcoming Video Store, next week, at Gamescom!"

Best Buy Listing Indicates $10 PSN Cards Are Coming Soon 100°
August 10, 2009 // 9:58 pm - Today a Best Buy listing for PlayStation Network Cards appears to reveal that $10 PSN Cards are coming soon to PlayStation 3 and PSP owners.

No word yet on whether they will also hit Europe, however, US buyers can currently add them to their carts for $10 each.

To quote: Looks like the $10 PSN cards are real, and coming soon.

Rumor: PSN Cards to Come to Europe in October 350°
July 27, 2009 // 1:10 am - Several sites are reporting a rumor today that PSN Cards will finally be coming to Europe on October 1, 2009.

To quote: October 1st will be an important day for Sony. With the launch of the PSP Go and the much-awaited Gran Turismo PSP already confirmed for that day, now it's been reported that the same day what European PSN users have been clamoring for years will be finally released: PSN pre-paid cards.

While we're labeling this as rumor since it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, the timing of release makes it seem very likely, given that the download-only PSP Go...

Guide: Buying PSN Cards Without a Credit Card for EU Users 550°
June 22, 2009 // 8:09 am - Although PSN cards have recently debuted in Canada, according to (linked above) in Europe there are still no prepaid cards for the PlayStation Network.

That being said, apparently many people who don't own a credit card can't buy things from the PlayStation Store... unless they follow the guide below, of course.

Note: Before we start this tutorial you should know that the PlayStation Network cards (so you can buy after reading this tutorial) can be used in the U.S....

PSN Cards Debut in Canada at EB Games and GameStop 200°
June 19, 2009 // 10:09 am - Today Sony Computer Entertainment Canada's Senior Public Relations Specialist Kyle Moffatt has announced that PSN Cards are debuting in Canada finally.

To quote: With the Stanley Cup finals ending last week the team at PlayStation Canada figured it would be a great time to bring the prepaid PSN cards to Canada!

The cards, available in $20 and $50 denominations, can now be purchased at EB Games and GameStop locations across the country.

In the coming weeks and months you'll also be able to buy the cards at: Best Buy, Future Shop, HMV, The Source...

Sony: We've Got Many Cards Yet to Deal 50°
April 18, 2009 // 4:07 pm - Sony Computer Entertainment America has dismissed its relatively poor March NPD results by deciding to focus instead on the PlayStation brand's future promise.

While three PlayStation titles made the US software top ten for the month, two of them exclusive to the brand, all Sony hardware was comfortably outsold by Microsoft and Nintendo platforms.

PlayFire Unveils Official PlayStation Network Trophy Cards 250°
March 8, 2009 // 12:49 pm - Pictured below are the official designs for the PSN Trophy cards, which has revealed to its members in conjunction with SCEE.

PlayFire took the bull by the horns when SCEA released its Trophy features on and allowed users to sync their PlayFire cards with their Trophy info.

It's not automatic, but it's a lot faster than adding them individually. These new official cards, however, will "update automatically based on the Portal." We're not sure what the "Portal" is, but a Trophy card that updates automatically sounds great to us.

Nvidia and ATI Set to Launch 40nm Video Cards in 2009 50°
January 30, 2009 // 10:36 pm - Windows 7 is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2010 and Windows 7 will come with DirectX 11, near the end of this year 2009 we can expect some DirectX 11 hardware's.

Nvidia and ATI are said to launch their DirectX 11 graphics cards at the end of this year, these cards will be based on 40nm process technology and in 1st or 2nd quarter of 2010 we can expect some DirectX 11 games too.

Nvidia's 40nm video cards with DirectX 10 support are rumored to launch in Q2 of 2009 and their next generation 40nm card will most likely to hit market in December of this...
