Sony: PlayStation Network Down for Maintence Tomorrow 50°
June 23, 2008 // 10:31 pm - According to the knowledge base article linked above on Sony's official PlayStation Web site, the PSN will be taken offline for scheduled maintenance tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m., until 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time. And yes, during this time, access to the online PS Store will be disabled as well.

June 6, 2008 // 3:32 pm - From the PS Blog today: The games industry is always on the look-out for new, talented engineers and programmers who understand how the hardware works under the hood. However, it isn't possible to buy a PlayStation development kit at your local computer store and development for the PlayStation has remained a mystery, even to very interested individuals.

It gives me great pleasure to unveil the mystery and announce the PlayStation-edu program! We expect this program to be a great tool to teach students about the PlayStation platforms.

May 6, 2008 // 4:11 pm - SCEA recently filed a trademark for "Qore" that is believed to be for an online magazine destined for the PSN. It is described as "computer services, namely, providing interactive online magazine and entertainment services in the field of video games."

Sony Adjusting Canadian PlayStation Store Prices 50°
April 30, 2008 // 12:59 pm - To coincide with this week's PlayStation Store update, Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced that it will adjust the prices on the Canadian store to reflect the current American to Canadian dollar exchange rate.

"We are continually looking for ways to enhance the player experience on the PLAYSTATIONŽNetwork, and downloadable content through the PLAYSTATION Store is just one of our areas of focus," said Grace Chen, Senior Manager for the PLAYSTATION Store.

Sony confirms new PlayStation Store won't be region locked 400°
April 2, 2008 // 3:06 pm - SCEA has confirmed that there will be no changes to the PlayStation Store as part of its revamp in relation to region locking.

So just like before, users with a number of accounts relating to different regions will not be locked out of those PlayStation stores.
