New Nintendo Wii Exploit Author is Seeking Community Help 50°
April 4, 2009 // 11:14 pm - The author of the recent Wii Exploit known as Comex needs help to get it working on Nintendo Wiis, so if you have a 2.2 or 4.0 it doesn't matter. Here is his request:

cIOS60 is Available for Nintendo Wii Homebrew Firmware 4.0 50°
April 3, 2009 // 10:23 am - I had some issues with the WAD Maker app, and after searching on GBATemp for a cIOS60 I found this one. I have tested it already, and works great!

Some of my games that worked with the older cIOS-CORE now give me an Error #001 and I know that these games do not have this pattern area.

As a result, I'm sharing the cIOS60 with you, and highly recommend not using any new cIOS-CORE. Just use the old one if you have it, and only to additional install the cIOS60.

Nintendo Wii Backup File System (WBFS) GUI v2 Released 500°
April 1, 2009 // 5:03 pm - Another GUI for WBFS (Wii Backup File System) version 2 is now available, which is the file system Waninkoko's USB Loader uses.

This one by Maximillion is a lot more stable than the previous GUI posted earlier.

This is pretty neat. Booting up your copy of Wii Fit today will earn you a couple of pretty obvious April Fool's jokes.

Reader Andrew shipped us these two pictures, one showing the Wii Fit claiming that it's broken and another hinting that the Wii Fit may lie about your Body Test results.

Can you imagine if all electronics took today seriously? We'd be in a world of hurt.

Yet Another USB Loader v1.1 Channel for Nintendo Wii Available 500°
April 1, 2009 // 9:52 am - Today Darkmystery over at GBATemp (linked above) shared a another USB Loader Channel for Hombrew Nintendo Wii consoles.

This one looks really nice and have Wii-ish sound. With this channel you don't have to go into the Hombrew channel to load the USB Loader. You now can do this from the Wii Menu.
