Insomniac's Ted Price Sees Benefits of Multiplatform Development 250°
November 14, 2008 // 8:44 pm - In a recent interview, Insomniac CEO Ted Price admitted that he sees the benefits in going multi-platform and breaking the company's exclusivity with Sony.

However, for now it seems as if the benefits of actually sticking with Sony slightly outweigh the benefits of parting, so don't expect any radical changes in the immediate future.

OPM Australia FFXIII Interview: Development Progress Update 50°
September 23, 2008 // 4:43 am - Thanks to Final Fantasy-XIII.net's Shuyu, there are scans (linked above) of an interview with Yoshinori Kitase and Shinji Hashimoto from the latest issue of Official Playstation Magazine Australia available.

Alex St John: Microsoft 50°
September 10, 2008 // 2:49 pm - Alex St John, CEO of WildTangent, has said that Sony and Microsoft will continue to close internal studios as both companies strive to become profitable.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, St John commented that Microsoft was "ramping down" it's investment in the Xbox 360 and was entering a "recovery phase". He said that console makers were keen to become profitable and would no longer take on the risk of developing their own titles.

August 31, 2008 // 7:23 pm - According to a rumor from the latest OPM, Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development as a PS3 exclusive and will be announced at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Interesting indeed...

MGS5 Announced? Payton mentions Title's Development 50°

Project Artemis - PS2 Hacking System in Development 400°
August 12, 2008 // 8:24 pm - For some time now (several years, off and on), GSHI administrative staff and several select members of the scene have been working, in secret, on something tentatively called Project Artemis: a hacking system for the Playstation 2. PS3 Development Issues Being Resolved, Boss Wants Price Cut 50°
July 22, 2008 // 9:07 pm - Speaking to trade site MCVUK (linked above), Famitsu boss Hirokazu Hamamura went on record to say that the PS3's slow adoption rate in Japan is gradually improving, despite various software development difficulties that plagued the console early on.

Hamamura believes that, in order sustain this level of growth and accelerate it further, a price cut is needed before this year's holiday season.

If the console gets another price cut by the year-end shopping season, I believe its penetration pace will become accelerated.
