PS Vita Live Area PreViewer by SKFU is Now Available 250°
170w ago - Following up on his PS Vita Firmware xTractor and PS Vita .PKG xTractor homebrew applications, today PlayStation Vita hacker SKFU has made available a PS Vita Live Area PreViewer for developers.

Download: PS Vita Live Area PreViewer

To quote: This application is probably not of use for the community but some official PS VITA developers.

I required it just for some tests, but it would be a waste of codelines not to share it, so here it is:

PS VITA Live Area preViewer outputs various information about a game, including it's style it uses on the PS VITA.

To use it, simply choose the root folder of a PS VITA game. Then check the style in the upper right of the program which it is ment to be displayed with and choose the correct tab. All else is self-explaining.

Music Unlimited Delivers More Control with Latest PS3 Update

Music Unlimited Delivers More Control with Latest PS3 Update 50°
174w ago - Sony Network Entertainment Vice President Mike Aragon has revealed today that Music Unlimited will now offer more control with their latest PS3 update.

To quote: We just updated the Music Unlimited service application on PS3 with some great features that many of you have been asking for.

Cosmetically, you'll probably first notice that our new branding has finally landed on PS3. More importantly, however, the new app gives you added control over how you listen to and access music.

We're most excited about the new "My Channels" function that lets you build custom radio stations around your favorite artists. Simply type in the name of the artist and we'll populate a station with songs from that artist and related artists.

Another great enhancement to the service makes it easier to skip tracks you dislike. Really don't like a song that is playing on one of the channels? Just "dislike" it and we'll automatically skip to the next one.

The "My Channels" and the "dislike" enhancements - available to both Basic and Premium subscribers - add to your ability to customize the music you listen to on the service. The features will also available via a firmware update today for 2010 and 2011 connected BRAVIAs, PCs, and Blu-ray Disc devices,...

PixelJunk SideScroller Live on PSN, Your Questions Answered 350°
175w ago - Sony Senior Social Media Specialist Sid Shuman has shared an FAQ on PixelJunk SideScroller below, which is now live on PSN today!

To quote: PixelJunk SideScroller is finally out in the world! This retro-styled side-scrolling shooter plays like a love note to the arcade games I grew up with in my youth, and serves as a quasi-epilogue to the PixelJunk Shooter series.

Before you pick it up on the PlayStation Store, get a closer look with this handy new Q&A. Q-Games President and Executive Producer Dylan Cuthbert took to Twitter to answer your most burning questions. Read closely and you might learn a few helpful secrets!

Q: How many levels come with PixelJunk SideScroller?

A: There are 13 levels (called "Sectors") in total. This includes four absolutely amazing boss battles (Note: Expect an "old friend" from the Shooter-verse to make an appearance, but you'll be seeing loads of new faces as well).

One thing that's so great about SideScroller is that it has four difficulty modes, and the experience will change depending on what difficulty mode you select. New enemies crop up in Hard difficulty mode, and expect certain encounters to get a whole lot more harrowing because of them.
