Sony Announces PlayStation Home 1.5, Sodium Space and More

50°
202w ago - Sony's PS Home Community Specialist GlassWalls has announced the arrival of PlayStation Home version 1.5 update with the addition of a Sodium Personal Space and an Aurora War Event.

To quote: PlayStation Home will be taken offline this evening for our weekly content publish.

While this downtime will occur approximately 24 hours earlier than what you have become accustomed to per our regular schedule, when the doors are re-opened on the morning of Wednesday, April 20th, you'll find that PlayStation Home will be updated to version 1.5 and will, in turn, be bigger and better than ever before.

PlayStation Home v1.5 was developed with one singular goal in mind: high-quality games. The 1.5 update will introduce a suite of new technology for developers with tools that will provide their future games with real-time multiplayer, improved physics, as well as more realistic graphics and animations.

PlayStation Home v1.5 is packed with tools and features that will enable developers to expand the types of games possible on the platform - from first-person shooters with real-time, peer-to-peer multiplayer to racing games and more.

Also coming with v1.5 are more avatar save slots (24!), new facial building features, better furniture management, various graphical tweaks...

PS3 Rebug 3.55 & 3.41 Stealth Custom Firmware Versions Arrive

50°
202w ago - PS3 hacker blazie151 has made available PS3 Rebug 3.55 and 3.41 Stealth Custom Firmware versions for PlayStation 3 CFW users, which has been rumored to be the initial cause of the recent PSN outage.

Download: Rebug 3.55 v1 with CA24.cer and Stealthed Rebug Selector / Rebug 3.41 v2 with CA24 and Stealthed Rebug Selector and H4C / Guide

To quote: I (blazie151) made a stealthed version of Rebug 3.55 and 3.41. These versions include ce24 and ce27 for Console ID spoofing.

Keep in mind at this time FckPSN and ce27 are useless since FckPSN doesn't blank your Console ID on SP-INT. For that reason I included ce24 as well, so that you can blank your console id with charles.

This also has a stealthed version of rebug selector tested working. Its stealthed as the tetris demo, so if you have that game already, use my homebrew stealthing application and stealth it as something else.

The 3.41 version has a stealthed rebug selector...

Portal 2 Confirmed as First PS3 3.60 Firmware Encrypted Game

550°
202w ago - Today Portal 2 has been confirmed as the first PS3 3.60 Firmware encrypted game, however, as it spreads on torrent sites PlayStation 3 hackers are already examining potential work-arounds to get the game running for PS3 Custom Firmware users.

To quote: We all knew this day would be coming, just like before with the v3.50!

Yep, all the rumors were right! -- Portal 2 would be the first game that was pressed using the currently unreleased APP v3.60 keys!

If you are looking to enjoy the sequel to the acclaimed Valve's puzzle-action hybrid, the Portal 2, then you need to learn to setup your own portal, because playing it on a 3.55 CFW console right now is not possible.

You are looking at different sets of method being tested such as the famous PARAM.SFO editing, EBOOT decrypting, it's just useless without the 3.60 keys. To say that the upcoming L.A. Noire is on the same ride will be my heartbreaking May moment.

So, I hope someone will find the solution for this or just roll on the 3.60 CFW already! But remember to eat some cheese with all that wine!

Something always unfolds in the scene, to get you back into the 'gaming'!
