E3 2008 Expo Games: Doom 4, not coming to PlayStation 3 50°
June 26, 2008 // 9:15 pm - Doom 4 has quite a legacy to live up to. Doom certainly wasn't the first successful FPS, but it is definitely one of the most influential.

Follow-ups Doom II: Hell on Earth and Doom 3, as well as 3's expansion pack Resurrection of Evil, only continued to satisfy fan expectations.

With id Software co-founder and Doom's architect John Carmack on board, the coming fourth adventure in the series will hopefully be the best one yet.

Doom 4 is currently slated to be released on PC and Xbox 360 platforms only.
