Video: Bringing The Order: 1886 for PS4 to Life on PlayStation 4

3w ago - Ready at Dawn Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer Andrea Pessino shared a video today on bringing The Order: 1886 for PS4 to life on PlayStation 4!

To quote: Yes! The Order: 1886 is done! From a grand idea flickering in Ru's disturbingly creative noggin it was imagined, developed and thus realized with love and care by a small team of immature, somewhat unstable, naively optimistic artists and engineers here at Ready At Dawn Studios.

The early days of development on The Order: 1886 were some of the most exciting of our professional careers.

PS4 was still an evolving set of specifications, but it was obvious from the beginning that Sony was going to push the limit of what one could expect from a home console.

We knew that the generational leap in terms of visual, audio and simulation fidelity would be remarkable.

We needed an equally ambitious set of goals for the technology we were developing for our game. We set on creating everything from scratch, with the goal of realizing the unrestrained vision of our artists by innovating in the areas of image fidelity, shading, illumination, volumetric effects and simulation techniques.

It was a huge challenge, but at the end...

11w ago - Versus Evil Community Director Lance James shared a video today on bringing The Banner Saga to PS Vita and PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: The first thing we have to say is "thank you" to every single fan of The Banner Saga who has helped raise the profile of the game and has supported the Stoic team from the start.

Your passion for The Banner Saga and the way you have helped spread the word has been instrumental in the decision to bring this amazing and unique game experience to PS4.

We're also excited and honored to have PlayStation announce that the game is also coming to PS Vita at the recent PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Our friends and partners in crime at Stoic (who just announced The Banner Saga 2 at the Game Awards in Las Vegas last Friday) are some of the nicest, most talented, and dedicated game makers you'll ever meet, and we couldn't be happier for them. The team at Stoic took some time out of their busy schedules to tell you a bit more about the Vita version below.

Being able to bring The Banner Saga to Vita is especially exciting since the fans have been asking for it for a long time, and it's a natural fit for the game as well...

Video: Tripwire Interactive Bringing Killing Floor 2 to PlayStation 4

12w ago - Tripwire Interactive Vice President Alan Wilson announced today that the time is right for bringing Killing Floor 2 to PS4!

To quote: Hi everyone. Alan Wilson here. I'm the Vice President at Tripwire Interactive.

What I enjoy doing for the company is writing, game design and research, but I also get to do all the crap no-one else wants to do. Except right now, when I get to talk about a huge step for us - Killing Floor 2 on PS4.

Tripwire Interactive was formed about 10 years ago and we released the original Killing Floor on PC in 2009. Since then, we've released a ton of additional content for free, added in some fun DLC, sold nearly 3 million units of the game and about 10 million units of DLC.

In case you're not familiar with Killing Floor, the game is a fun, dark, sometimes humorous take on a first person survival horror. Its really perfect for a console outing. So, we've been asked why we never did console before.

We've actually talked to a number of console teams over the last few years. But there always seemed to be reasons not to do it. One of the biggest for us was our independence. There always used to be a push to have us publish through some big publisher.

And...
