Video: MLB 15 The Show Goes to Spring Training on PS4, PS3, PS Vita 500°
19h ago - Sony First Party Games Brand Manager Todd Liss revealed a PS4 video today spotlighting Spring Training in MLB 15 The Show for PlayStation 4, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.

Below are the details, to quote: As the winter snow melts and we turn towards spring, baseball fans across the world are making their annual pilgrimage to Arizona and Florida for Spring Training. This year the team at MLB 15 The Show reported, too.

We drove the MLB 15 The Show Bus to the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues in order to show off this year's game to six of our favorite players: Yasiel "Wild Horse" Puig, Hunter "Captain Underpants" Pence, Eric "The Hos" Hosmer, Russell "The Muscle" Martin, Andrew "Cutch" McCutchen, and Adam "Stay Hungry" Jones.

These guys had the time of their life picking up the sticks and seeing why baseball is better in MLB 15 The Show thanks to enhanced visuals, their favorite legends, licensed equipment, and Year-to-Year Saves.

It was amazing to watch players training for a long season become so excited to play this year's game.

Which is why we can't wait to show you all the great moments, baseball insights, and MLB 15 The Show gameplay we captured. We've got a whole lineup of amazing content that will be coming your way until our game launch on March 31st, but for...

Sony Goes Hands on with Dark Souls II for PS4 on PlayStation 4

Sony Goes Hands on with Dark Souls II for PS4 on PlayStation 4 1100°
4w ago - Sony Social Media Senior Manager Sid Shuman went hands on with Dark Souls II for PS4 today on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on PS4 adds the expected technical improvements, but also remixes core gameplay elements to give veterans a reason to dive back in.

The jump to PS4 has given developer FromSoftware an opportunity to paint a more pleasing picture. The native 1080p resolution, upgraded lighting effects, and cinematic filters give the game a richer, cleaner look compared to the PS3 version.

But the biggest improvement comes from the improved frame rate - 60 frames per second according to Bandai Namco representatives. The increased fluidity translates into more responsive movement and combat, a major advantage considering the game's famously unforgiving difficulty.

Then there are the gameplay adjustments. You won't be able to rely on your memory to cakewalk the PS4 game because some enemies and item locations have been changed. Enemies will follow you more tenaciously, even through fog gates - a terrifying, potentially ruinous side effect of PS4's expanded RAM pool.

Some weapons are also being tweaked. I noticed that the Fire Long Sword, a powerful early-game weapon that saved my butt countless times on...

Sony Goes Hands-on with DmC: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4

Sony Goes Hands-on with DmC: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4 1150°
5w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements went hands-on today with DmC: Definitive Edition on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: When DmC: Devil May Cry launched in January of 2013, Ninja Theory introduced the world to a fresh interpretation of an iconic video game (anti)hero.

Half angel, half demon, the Dante of DmC not only fought legions of demon spawn, but the misinformation of an evil corporation. The demon king Mundus took a CEO's office, not a dark throne. It was a new game world, and Dante kicked its ass.

Now the smart-talking Dante fights on in DmC: Definitive Edition, launching March 10th on PS4. It's an enhanced version of the original PS3 game with a slew of new features and a layer of polish that makes Dante's demon-killing exploits and confident gunplay even more satisfying.

I had a chance to put the Definitive Edition through its paces, and managed to avoid embarrassing myself in the Bloody Palace along the way.

Starting with the basics: the Definitive Edition runs at 60 frames per second in crisp 1080p. This propels the fast-paced combat and kinetic environments to new heights, enhancing Dante's deft swordwork and the ever-shifting realm of Limbo.

To fully wring every advantage out of these new performance upgrades, the...

Sony Goes Hands-on with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4

Sony Goes Hands-on with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4 850°
6w ago - Sony Social Media Specialist Ryan Clements went hands-on today with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4 with details below.

To quote: The developers of the open-ended RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt describe their bold creation as a "morally indifferent" fantasy world, but it's difficult to illustrate the true breadth of that claim.

The world of The Witcher 3 is violent, desperate, dark, beautiful, and palpably old. It teems with quests and hidden dangers, alongside gritty heroes and the wrongdoers to match them.

Playing Wild Hunt on PS4 for the first time, its world came to life in unexpected ways, but delivered a consistently rewarding introduction to a rich tale.

Those new to the Witcher series need not slink away, overwhelmed - The Witcher 3 is designed with you in mind. It begins with a prologue that deftly establishes the important characters and the stakes of the conflict around them.

You play as a slayer of monsters - a Witcher - one in a long line of highly-trained, mutated beings that seek out and destroy threats against humanity. This background has gifted (or cursed) hero Geralt of Rivia with an unnaturally long life, and a set of skills suitable for his profession.

At the onset of The Witcher 3's story, Geralt and his old master Vesemir...

Video: The Order: 1886 Goes Gold, New PS4 Trailer Premiere

Video: The Order: 1886 Goes Gold, New PS4 Trailer Premiere 800°
6w ago - Ready At Dawn Studios CEO and Creative Director Ru Weerasuriya announced today alongside a new PS4 trailer video that The Order: 1886 has officially gone gold on PlayStation 4 with details below.

To quote: Well, it took a few years to get here, but I'm happy to say that The Order: 1886 went gold last week!

It's almost hard to believe that the game is wrapped up. There are definitely times when we miss the madness that takes place when finishing a game.

From our first initial pitch of the project back in 2010, to growing our team over the last four years, we have poured all our energy and passion into this game and we can't wait for everyone to experience it.

Back at PlayStation Experience in December, we were able to finally show a long demo of the game that encompasses the many things we have revealed until now; Neo-Victorian London, The Order, its Knights and their weapons and technology, and their struggle against the Rebellion and the Half-Breeds.

We still have a lot more to tell you before launch, but today we're presenting a brand new trailer that we hope will whet your appetite; a glimpse into the conspiracy...
