Video: PS3 System Crash During Firmware Investigation 650°
303w ago - Hello to all members. A week ago I found very useful information of what kind of software (firmware) is inside this powerful box PS3, and I was shocked by the level of protection and level of firmware.

XMB is running in virtualized space (other os too) with conditions that controlled by "Super Hardware Administrator"-its not real name, (there is no Hypervisor like all of you like to say, it has something like that but, the system name is other, we have a deal with strong coded engineered system)

There is so much conditions in the firmware, that $ony and some other good companies create for it, that you even can`t imagine. Under other os I tried too run some other code of software that tries to load some stuff and first results like crashing system in to yellow light and then to blinking red I gained, my ps3 is working fine after that.

Now I`m waiting for a 250gb hdd to install RadHat or Suse (i don't decide yet wich is better for my investigation but both are good) and after that i maybe will have much more information about a system, but now i know a lot about it. I found useful information about what kind of software is inside, how information crypto working (about every 64k point on hdd and how this data crypto...

SEC closes EA investigation

SEC closes EA investigation 50°
382w ago - Government regulators have wrapped up examination of publisher's stock options practices with no punishment levied.

Last year, a flurry of publishers saw their stock option granting practices come under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Among the companies affected were THQ, Activision, Take-Two Interactive, and Electronic Arts. While some of those inquiries are still outstanding, one of them has wrapped up, as EA this week revealed to investors this week that it is officially off the hook with the SEC.

"On September 14, 2006, we received an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission requesting certain documents and information relating to our stock option grant practices from January 1, 1997 through the date of the letter," the publisher wrote in its latest quarterly report. "We cooperated with all matters related to this request. On October 31, 2007, we received a letter from the SEC informing us that they had terminated their inquiry and that no enforcement action would be recommended."

Of the remaining inquiries, Take-Two's has progressed the farthest. The SEC began a formal probe into its stock options practices, and in August warned that it may file charges and fine the Grand Theft Auto publisher. Take-Two's situation differs from those of its...

Watchdog Group Challenges ESRB Re-rate of Manhunt 2 to 50°
392w ago - Just one day after Rockstar Games announced that Manhunt 2 had secured an M Rating in the US, media watchdog group Campaign For a Commercial-Free Childhood has challenged the decision by the ESRB to re-rate the game, and is demanding to know why it has been allowed a lower rating than the previously Adult Only (AO) it received.

I think we'd all like to know what was cut from Manhunt 2, but only one thing's for sure. Manhunt 2. October 31st.
