Yamauchi: Gran Turismo 5 to be Released Sooner than Expected 200°
October 30, 2008 // 1:22 am - One lucky Gran Turismo fan recently had a chance to actually talk to Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi about all things Gran Turismo. Of course, one of the things that came up was Gran Turismo 5's release date.

When told about fans expecting the game to be released in 2010, Yamauchi laughed it off and said that the game will be released sooner than expected. As vague as ever, but it does raise hopes of a possible 2009 release.

DFC: PlayStation 3 not Expected to Break Even Across its Lifetime 50°

Sony says PlayStation 3 Sales Better than Expected 200°
October 1, 2008 // 7:50 pm - Sony CEO Jack Tretton is quite ecstatic with the way their Cell powered beast is selling this year. Speaking in an interview with Reuters, Tretton reveals that the PS3 is actually selling faster than they previously expected it would.

They projected that the PS3 would be able to sell 10 million units by March of next year. (Just so you know, March of next year = end of fiscal year 2008).

Tretton didn't reveal the specific figure of how many PS3 units they've already sold to date - much less which firm's sales data he's keeping track of - however, he seems confident...

Video: Windows Vista hits the PS3, as expected it's very slow 500°
August 4, 2008 // 7:17 pm - mopx0 has installed Windows Vista 32 bit on the PS3, the whole process takes a huge amount of time and the end result is that the emulation runs very slow as evidenced by the fact it takes nearly 25 minutes to boot to the start menu.

To quote: It's a 100% PS3 based emulation of Microsoft Windows Vista. Its super slow, but it works.

Twilight Hack Protection Thwarted, Fix Expected Soon 50°
June 19, 2008 // 4:30 pm - Shortly after Nintendo launched a new Wii firmware update that blocks users from running the homebrew-enabling Twilight Hack, folks immediately began work on investigating the update, uncovering a bug that allows them to bypass Nintendo's savedata check and run the hack without issue.

According to Bushing, Nintendo wrote a set of functions that specifically checks savedata pertaining to Zelda, nothing else. Seems rather foolish, considering that other Wii titles could very well have a similar save exploit.
