Sony Project Morpheus Update: PS4 VR Upgraded, Coming in 2016

Sony Project Morpheus Update: PS4 VR Upgraded, Coming in 2016 400°
3d ago - Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida shared a Project Morpheus update today announcing that the PS4 VR upgrade is coming in 2016 with new pictures from GDC 2015 available!

To quote: Hello from GDC 2015! About a year ago, we unveiled a prototype for Project Morpheus, the virtual reality system for PS4. Since then, we've been hard at work making the system even better.

I'm pleased to return to GDC with an update on our progress, bringing us one step closer to its consumer release. We believe VR will shape the future of games, and I can't wait for you to try Project Morpheus when it launches in the first half of 2016.

Our goal with VR is to deliver a sense of presence, making the player feel as though they've stepped inside the world of a game. The new Project Morpheus prototype brings us closer to that goal, as it improves the visual experience and tracking accuracy, both of which are critical to achieving sense of presence.

Key changes:

•OLED display: In exchange for the 5 inch LCD, the new Morpheus VR headset is equipped with a 5.7 inch 1920 X RGB X 1080 resolution OLED display. This new screen...

EU PS Store Updates: Resident Evil Revelations 2, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse

EU PS Store Updates: Resident Evil Revelations 2, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 50°
1w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PlayStation Store Team is here with this weeks European PSN Game Store updates, which include Resident Evil Revelations 2, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse and more below!

To quote: Claire Redfield returns this week in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Kidnapped, only to come to the realisation she is stuck on an island surrounded by horrifying creatures, the time is now to do what she does best and escape the horror. Grab the first episode today.

Elsewhere this week, mingle with the Dragon Ball crowd in Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Create your very own warrior, customising his or her race, abilities and importantly, the hair!

After much tinkering with your personal warrior, it's then up to you to help restore order to famous events in the story, or take the battle online and show off your warrior skills.

To round up the week, there's a new DLC drop for Call of Duty: Advance Warfare featuring new maps, Dragon Age: Inquisition as deal of the week, and also Scram Kitty DX with an additional PS Plus discount thrown on top.

New on EU PlayStation Store: The Order 1886, QBert and Hand of Fate

New on EU PlayStation Store: The Order 1886, QBert and Hand of Fate 400°
2w ago - Sony's Jawad Ashraf of the PS Store Team is here with this weeks new content on the EU PlayStation Store including The Order 1886, QBert and Hand of Fate.

To quote: First up, The Order 1886 arrives this week. Galahad and his team of royal knights trek the streets of rainy London in search of inhuman nasties. Equip yourself with outlandish weaponry and tech in order to triumph in the war that has spanned centuries.

Making a comeback is Q*Bert. Some of you may be too young to have played the original (even I am, believe me), but Q*Bert Rebooted brings back pixel-perfect old-school Q*Bert in 2D, along with a re-imagined 3D version.

Both require quick thinking to conquer so be glad you aren't paying per credit like in the old days.

We've also got a storm of discounts on PS Store, from amazing PS Vita titles to PS4 blockbusters such as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.

As we're celebrating PS Vita's birthday, we're delighted to give fans access to two themes to spice things up. There's a montage of characters featured on one theme, available for free, and there's also a special Toro and Friends theme featuring everyone's loveable cat, available for free for one week.
