10w ago - Following up on his previous release, today PlayStation 3 developer Red-EyeX32 released a PS3 LV1.ELF Embedded Files Extractor with details below.

To quote: I just wanted to release this small tool I had laying around in my hdd, it's nothing huge, but it does get its job done.

This small tool will let you extract the embedded files inside the lv1.elf once it's decrypted from its container.

I just got lazy one day and I decided to make this tool.

24w ago - Following up on BreakSelf v1.0.0.1, today PlayStation 3 developer CMX (via skiller aka SkillerCMP) released a PS3 homebrew application called MakeSelf v1.0.0.1 followed by BREAK_N_MAKE v1.0 (which includes MakeSelf v1.1) with details below.

To quote: MakeSelf

  • Allows you to Encrypt (Dex)+(CEX)+(NPDRM) Bin, Self, Sprx, Isoself
  • *Has Clone Function
  • Allows for Multi control over how files are encrypted..
  • Allows for Setup of Quick Settings inside Quick.ini
  • Updatable keys.conf uses same one as Breakself.
  • Allows for Encrypting Using original Settings and if so RIf key

What is Clone?

  • Clone Settings from Original Encrypted file
  • Press “Clone Settings” then pick original Encrypted file.. If NPDRM you may need to fill in the K_Licensee with decrypt key Before doing the Clone..

  • Drag and Drop of bin.self.SPRX (Will Open if Klic Key needs changing)
  • Changing of Decryption Klic
  • Decryption of NPDRM
  • Uses Key.conf to add new Keys if necessary (iso/app/npdrm/lv0/lv1/lv2 keys)
  • Can be added (Manually) to Right click Function for Quck Decryption

49w ago - Sony Vice President of Developer and Publisher Relations Adam Boyes announced that PlayStation still loves devs and is now 1,000 self-publishers strong with a video below!

To quote: PS4 has been met with an amazing amount of enthusiasm and excitement from both gamers and developers alike since its launch back in November, and the 6 million gamers who have already bought PS4 have really embraced this next-generation gaming experience.

We've got more than 100 games scheduled to launch on PS4 this year alone, including Watch_Dogs, The Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny, and The Order: 1886.

That amazing lineup is made possible by the development community, who have been hard at work with our hardware, already pushing it to do things that we never expected. Recently we reached a significant milestone with more than 1,000 developers licensed globally to self-publish on our platforms, 200 of those licensed in North America since PS4 was unveiled in February 2013.
