Video: Orcs Must Die is Invading PlayStation 4 for the First Time

Video: Orcs Must Die is Invading PlayStation 4 for the First Time 50°
12w ago - Robot Entertainment Community Manager Justin Korthof announced today that Orcs Must Die is invading PlayStation 4 for the first time with details below.

To quote: You hear that sound? That dull, rhythmic pounding you can feel in your knickers? That's the sound of hundreds of orc axes, fists, and foreheads beating against the mighty PS4 Fortress doors.

Today at the PlayStation Experience, we announced that Orcs Must Die! is coming back to consoles when the 5v5 Orcs Must Die! Unchained crashes the gates of the PS4 in 2015!

Go ahead. Read that again if you need to.

When the first OMD was released, players were dropped into the role of the overly-confident and woefully ill-prepared War Mage to help save his world from an army of invading orcs. If you played the first game, you know that the War Mage didn't so much win as he just sort of tore the whole magical institution thing to the ground.

Look, the point is, the orcs weren't invading anymore. So it still counts. By the time we catch up to Unchained, the rifts are open again, the magic is back, and the War Mage isn't the only guy with special powers anymore.

Orcs Must Die! Unchained is a Fortress Siege game that blends some...

Blacklight: Retribution Celebrates Anniversary With Free PS4 Goodies

Blacklight: Retribution Celebrates Anniversary With Free PS4 Goodies 200°
16w ago - Zombie Studios Producer Kael Hammond announced today that Blacklight: Retribution is celebrating their 1-year anniversary with free PS4 goodies!

To quote: We cannot believe it has already been a year since Zombie Studios launched the Blacklight: Retribution Beta on PS4 alongside the launch of PS4 in November 2013.

Players jumped in excited to know what the game was all about and eager to give us feedback.

We took that feedback and built it into the June release that ended beta. We wanted to come out of beta strong, and turned our attention to new content and released a flurry of new maps, weapons, gear, and even a hard suit.

could keep talking about what we've done, but I know what you really want to hear is what's coming next - so I'll get back to our release history after.

Coming Up

In our next release (Patch 2.07) we have re-worked the party system to further the goal of making sure it takes as few steps as possible before you are playing with your friends. Our players have let us know it is important and we have made it a priority to bring it to you.

Following Patch 2.07 will be the "Icestorm"...

Ackk Studios: Indie RPG Y2K is Coming to PS4 and PS Vita

Ackk Studios: Indie RPG Y2K is Coming to PS4 and PS Vita 50°
16w ago - ACKK STUDIOS LLC Co-director Andrew Allanson announced today that Indie RPG Y2K is coming to PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

Below are the details, to quote: Hey, readers! I'm Andrew Allanson, from AckkStudios. I'm here to tell you about a 3D, turn-based, Japanese-style RPG that we are developing for PS4 and PS Vita. The game is called Y2K.

Y2K is being developed by Brian & Andrew Allanson with Jose Alfaro, Ian Bailey, and Brigid Allanson. We unite under the name of AckkStudios LLC! Ackk is partnering with Ysbryd Games to ensure polish and funding for the game.

So, what's all this Y2K stuff about?

For those of you too young to remember, Y2K refers to the year 2000 problem. Basically, it was a coding bug that was projected to create havoc in computers and computer networks around the world at the beginning of the year 2000... a lot of people thought the world was going to end because of this. It was pretty crazy.

With that in mind, here are more specifics about the premise: When an erratically-behaving elevator claims the life of a young woman, unemployed recent college graduate Alex Eggleston takes to a primitive 1990s message-board to find answers about the death of this stranger. His quest for answers leads to more questions as his research points him to...
