Rumor: Sony Developing a Colorful LED Wand for the PS2? 400°
March 17, 2009 // 12:10 pm - A US registered patent filed by Sony Computer Entertainment clues us in to a video game controller sitting somewhere in Sony's R&D labs.

The unnamed input device has a LED on the front and an external power supply. Emitted light is captured by an inexpensive camera and translated into user input data.

Sony's interface program is unique since the device produces one or more colors of light which allows greater flexibility for differently lit rooms.

Rumor: Nintendo Developing a Direction Sensing DS Card? 200°
January 14, 2009 // 9:13 pm - A trademark has popped up on Japan's trademark database, registered by Nintendo.

The trademark is for "DS Houi Sensor Card" and in Japanese, Houi means direction, so this has led to speculation that Nintendo is planning its own motion sensing card for the Nintendo DS.

Confirmed: Infinity Ward Developing Call of Duty 6 for 2009! 50°
September 16, 2008 // 4:27 pm - Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith today confirmed that Call of Duty creator Infinity Ward, which most recently handled Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, will return to the franchise next year with Call of Duty 6.

"In 2009, we expect Infinity Ward to deliver another [entry of] ground-breaking quality, Call of Duty 6," Griffith stated at today's Activision Blizzard Analyst Day. Bionic Start-Up Developing for Wii 50°
May 1, 2008 // 1:11 am - Bionic Games is a new development studio based in North Hollywood actively recruiting team members to work on an unannounced action adventure game for the Wii. The game will be an original IP, and a few minor details can be gleaned from the company's job listings.

Bionic is looking for a Lead Animator to oversee, among other things, "high quality pre-rendered cinematics." The game is a third-person adventure.
