Guide: Buying PSN Cards Without a Credit Card for EU Users

Guide: Buying PSN Cards Without a Credit Card for EU Users 550°
298w ago - Although PSN cards have recently debuted in Canada, according to PS3Hype.nl (linked above) in Europe there are still no prepaid cards for the PlayStation Network.

That being said, apparently many people who don't own a credit card can't buy things from the PlayStation Store... unless they follow the guide below, of course.

Note: Before we start this tutorial you should know that the PlayStation Network cards (so you can buy after reading this tutorial) can be used in the U.S. PlayStation Store.

This means that no content from the Store can download. Also, the add-ons that you can store in the U.S. are not compatible with European games.

Use this' trick 'only if you complete a game or PSN game to download from the U.S. Store. You can also use this for example PS One classics and PSP games.

The terms of the deal specified that the systems would be in working order, "with maybe a few components missing."

It may or may not come as a surprise depending on your own particular bias toward the company but Circuit City apparently failed to live up to its end of the bargain: 217 of 227 Xbox 360 and 167 of 205 PlayStation 3 consoles received in the deal were "non-functioning."

Bad enough in itself, perhaps, but things got even uglier when the center started repairing and testing the consoles. When the systems were taken online to check their connectivity, many of them suddenly started popping up with friend...

Sony Announces the Official PlayStation Credit Card 50°
327w ago - Sony's Hardware Marketing Director Posted by John Koller announced the following today via PS Blog:

You may have seen the mailers, and it's true. We've introduced our very own PlayStation credit card to offer fans a new way to show off their PlayStation pride and earn reward points towards the purchase of PlayStation and SONY products.

We've even sweetened the pot with a special introductory offer. Starting today until December 31, 2008, you could save $150 on the purchase of a PLAYSTATION 3 this holiday. There are a couple ways to do this. You can go to to www.sony.com/newpscard to get instant approval for your card, and an immediate $150 credit when you purchase a PS3 directly through the Web site.

Or you can go www.sony.com/getpscard to apply for the card and upon receipt of the card, use it at any authorized PlayStation retailer to purchase a PS3. The $150 credit will show up on your billing statement.

The holidays just got merrier. Happy shopping.
