Secret Ponchos Gets New Characters, Free PS4 Maps on 2/17

Secret Ponchos Gets New Characters, Free PS4 Maps on 2/17 650°
4w ago - Switchblade Monkeys CEO Yousuf Mapara announced today that Secret Ponchos is getting new characters and free PS4 maps on February 17th with details below!

To quote: Hello outlaws! The team here at Switchblade Monkeys is thrilled to announce The Hunting Ground, our first major content drop for Secret Ponchos coming to your PS4 February 17th, 2015.

Our goal is to keep the game evolving and growing over time, so it keeps getting better and better.

What's in this expansion?

A lot! With The Hunting Ground update we aimed to make sure we provide content for everyone: those who want to support us in expanding the game by purchasing some DLC, and our players who just love Secret Ponchos and want free new content.

New Content

We learned a lot from community feedback since the PS+ launch of our game, and we've been working hard on many improvements. Being a tiny indie team, we aimed to putout a game that's fun and deep, but to do that it would have to start small. One of the things we heard the most is "more content", so we took that to heart and here it is! Included are 2 new maps - for FREE.

Additionally, our artists wanted to show a gesture of appreciation for our community, and have built a custom exclusive unlockable...

Freedom Wars Out Tuesday, Characters & Panopticons Detailed

Freedom Wars Out Tuesday, Characters & Panopticons Detailed 250°
19w ago - Sony Associate Project Manager Nick Accordino detailed both the characters panopticons in Freedom Wars today, which comes out for PS Vita this Tuesday.

To quote: Hello again Freedom Wars fans! With less than a week to go until Freedom Wars finally hits North America, I wanted to deliver a few more details regarding our awesome cast of characters and Western Panopticons to our English-speaking "Sinners" out there.

As you've seen through our various trailers, even throughout the multitude of cooperative and competitive modes, the story of Freedom Wars takes center stage. While contributing to society and steadily decreasing that million-year sentence, you'll encounter a myriad of interesting, (and might I add stylish) characters, starting with:

Aries
A mysterious girl who appears in front of our main character from time to time. Her prophetic-sounding words seem to be leading you down a certain path, but her true motives remain a mystery...

Natalia "9" Woo
The tough-as-nails Commander of The Office of Peace and Stability, 35th division. Natalia is tasked with protecting the peace in her Panopticon and keeping the Sinners in line. She might seem cold at first glance, but Natalia's rigid demeanor masks her deep-seated wish to protect her teammates.

Video: Samurai Warriors 4: New Characters, 10 Year Milestone

Video: Samurai Warriors 4: New Characters, 10 Year Milestone 250°
24w ago - Sony Producer Hisashi Koinuma shared a video today showcasing the new characters in the 10 year milestone of Samurai Warriors 4 on PS4 and PS3 consoles.

Below are the details, to quote: On the eve of TGS, I'm lucky to have so much to be excited about!

In the West, I can at last reveal the complete new character roster for Samurai Warriors 4, along with new images and video for them all today.

Here in Japan, tomorrow, I'll get to experience reactions to Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 for the first time... I cannot confirm if this game is coming to the West at this time, but do hope to see Western players experiencing the game for themselves as well.

As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of Samurai Warriors, I thought you might be interested as to how the franchise came to be. Before there was Samurai Warriors, there was the historical tactical action series, Dynasty Warriors, which is based on the accounts of China's "Annals of the Three Kingdoms" (known as "Sangokushi" in Japan), was and still is extremely popular.

Samurai Warriors was conceived around this time as a spinoff of the Dynasty Warriors series. In February 2004, the first ever Samurai Warriors launched on PS2. There was a lot...

Sony Offers a Closer Look at LittleBigPlanet 3's New PS4 Characters

Sony Offers a Closer Look at LittleBigPlanet 3's New PS4 Characters 50°
37w ago - Sony Blog Manager Fred Dutton offers a closer look today at LittleBigPlanet 3's new PS4 characters with details below, as follows:

One of the big surprises of E3 week was seeing LittleBigPlanet 3 unveiled live on stage during the PlayStation media briefing.

If you haven't got yourself up to speed already, Sackboy is all set to make his PS4 debut this November. Along with a raft of new features for Create mode, the major new additions to the series come in the form of three new playable characters: Swoop, Oddsock and Toggle.

"We've spent a long time working on the characters," explained XDev's Pete Smith backstage at LA. "Not just making sure that they look distinctive but also that they each offer unique gameplay. That, for me, is the big thing.

We want people to go 'Wow, they really change up the game, and I can create totally new experiences with them'.

"We were also keen to make sure that they were very iconic from a silhouette point of view, so that when you look at them together you can instantly tell them apart. Yet we still wanted them to feel like they were part of the Sackboy family, rather than just a watered down version of the same character."

Indeed, having played through hugely enjoyable E3 demo a few times over, I can confirm that...

Joe Danger on PlayStation Vita: 2 Full Games, 3 New Characters

Joe Danger on PlayStation Vita: 2 Full Games, 3 New Characters 50°
48w ago - Hello Games developer Alex Wiltshire announced that Joe Danger on PlayStation Vita features 2 full fames and 3 new characters.

Below are the details, to quote: Hello I'm Alex! I work with Sean and the gang at Hello Games.

We made Joe Danger, the super-colorful, super-challenging racey platformy series starring a fat little stuntman! People have seemed to like it loads, calling it all kinds of nice things like "astounding" (Official PlayStation Magazine) and "perfect" (Game Informer).

So, you might remember that we're bringing Joe Danger to PS Vita, and I'm here to tell you that we're nearly finished! Also, I wanted to tell you some super special news.

So first up, both of our big-console games, Joe Danger and its sequel, Joe Danger 2: The Movie, are running on PS Vita at a smooth-as-butter 60 frames a second, looking clean as you like, and they play so, so nicely in your hands.

60FPS has always been so important to us, because that's how the games we grew up with ran. So it's fantastic that Vita can make it happen, especially since it totally looks just as good as the PS3 version. We're pushing about 400k polys a frame, which is pretty amazing. It loads real fast too.

You won't believe the work that's gone into making this happen - our friends...
