The three of them sum up into 18.3GB, as you can see. I'd say the option of installing your games is one of the finest features the 360 offers, cutting load times and reducing disc...

Guide: How to UnCripple Your XBox 360 HDD After a Ban 200°
287w ago - There's been a discussion about a way to uncripple your XBox 360 harddrive AFTER you got banned.

As you know Microsoft decided to 'remove' some HDD features (like play games from HDD, etc) when your console gets banned.

Microsoft does this by modifying data in the secdata.bin on the NAND (that's why write-lock the NAND was a way to prevent HDD-crippling).

But people found out the NAND has older (backup?) copies of secdata.bin stored on the NAND as well....

Rumor: Analyst Predicts XBox 360 to get One Terabyte HDD 400°
309w ago - Gaming analyst Michael Pachter has briefly mentioned the days of a 1TB Project Natal 'new' Xbox 360.

He noted he does not see the timing of new releases and digital downloads being a function of anything other than hard drive sizes.

To quote: Industry analysts have identified the limited storage space of the current Xbox 360 range as a major feature holding the tech back right now, particularly with the rapid developments in movies and games on demand services via Xbox Live.

"I don't see the timing between new release and digital download being a function...

NXE Highlights Serious XBox 360 HDD Problem 300°
339w ago - We love hard drives. When your home console is strapping a big arsed HDD you don't have to leave Alex Kidd on overnight, you don't have to remember sixty-two digit save passwords, and you no longer have to mourn the death of an 8 MB memory card as if it was a family member.

Make no mistake fellow gamers, hard drives rock. Even still, if you had have told us in 2005 that three years later we'd be complaining about 'only having' 20 gigs of space for our Xbox 360, we would have built a time machine to travel forwards in time to knee ourselves in the groin.

But times they...

Saving XBox 360 Games to the HDD Makes Them Look Better 300°
343w ago - I have found Microsoft's updated version of Xbox Live to be a mixed bag navigation-wise. And I haven't used a few key features like parties or Netflix yet.

But there's one feature I'm using that is undeniably awesome: Saving games to the hard drive. As soon as I got the NXE (new Xbox experience) beta test, I immediately saved "Fable 2" to the hard drive, mainly because the game is constantly accessing data from the disc and it is loud, even by Xbox 360 standards.

I was hoping I would no longer be distracted by the noise of a disc spinning with such fury it could fly out...
