  • If you're using 16MByte SAMSUNG NOR, please use Sector Size: 4kB/ Sector Count: 4096 and check "alternate writing method".
  • Differential flash, if you haven't noticed yet, will skip unnecessary writes (compares data on chip vs data in file)

Finally, below is GlitchSkeet Rev 111216 via Rogero for those who wish to RGH with ProgSkeet (for XBox 360 users primarily at this time).

Download: GlitchSkeet Rev 111216

To quote: GlitchSkeet: is another bitstream written specifically for the ProgSkeet flasher, which will allow it to operate as a Glitcher like the many Glitch-Chips out there now that are used to perform the Reset Glitch Hack on the XBox 360 console.

The GlitchSkeet Bitstream currently have support for only the "Trinity/Slim" XBox 360 board model, It may need some more tweaking as well as adding support for other XBox 360 board models in later releases as time allows.

But anyway, all Skeeters/ProgSkeet owners have the right to test this Bitstream as it is in its current state.

Compatibility: This Bitstream is compatible with ProgSkeet v1.1 Crystal Blue only, ProgSkeet v1.0 Crystal White won't work.

Preparation: Short R12 and R9, Open R11 and R10

Pinout:

GP5 = I2C_SCL
GP6 = I2C_SDA
Adr0 = CPU_RST (you must add a Capacitor of 220pf/230pf/270pf between Adr0 & Ground)
Adr2 = POST_OUT1
Adr4 = DEBUG PIN / LED

N.B: the Injectus Jtag USB programmer is needed in order to update ProgSkeet with this Bitstream.

Credits to uf6667, Ago, bmx, nice69 and to all ProgSkeet Team members and testers.

Oh yeah - soldering all of those wires can be quite "fun", it should only be for the experienced user, if you think you want to give it a go - buy a broken board off ebay, and try soldering the 32 or so wires to it, if you did a good job, then give it an actual try. Then again, if your PS3 is bricked, you really have nothing to lose!

no way i'm gonna try it. i have ps3 on OFW for online and one on 3.55 Kmeaw just curious if this could lead to a downgrader or even a way to customize 3.6x+ firmwares.

I wouldn't want to risk it myself... The Infectus is quite a task for average users to solder (CJPC was able to do it, but I wouldn't attempt one) and most probably don't own the hardware so you'd have to buy it and then hope you don't mess up the PS3 installing it hehe.

While this is good news for the skilled techs out there, for the rest I'd say getting a used PS3 with lower Firmware is easier.

so with a infectus you can downgrade from 3.66? will you still lose blu-ray playback?

Today dospiedras1973 has shared a PS3 Firmware 3.6x downgrade method for 256MB NAND (Fat) consoles via the Infectus PlayStation 3 mod-chip alongside a Waninkoko CFW Brick Fix followed by a New Method - PS3 Downgrade v2 Supports all NOR Flash from TwoStone.

Download: PS3 Firmware 3.6x Downgrade via Infectus / PS3 Firmware 3.6x Downgrade via Infectus v2 / Waninkoko Brick Fix Guide

To quote, roughly translated: Hello, I've been working on this project about two months now since I've gotten to work as public so that everyone can use, this tutorial is for consoles with 256MB NAND flash does not mean it does not work in 16MB in itself is changed almost the same in those with normal flash, but because even I have my fat 16mb 80GB I have not been able to neither prove nor verified.

Nougat (the phrase I owe to some forero around here that I really liked the expression):

With INFECTUS flash0.bin and we get our nand flash1.bin as in the tutorial to repair bad lukin nands do the same process until we get our dump flashfinal.bin 256MB nand we open this with a simple hex editor and look for this part editor:

"00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 6F FF E0"

You will see that just under a very similar line, I find this data in the offset 000C0020 may vary according to the nand and the party starts here

EVEN replace that line with the file if you use the hxd 1patchcos.bin get in the first 0 of the line -> right click and paste, writing before you have to have an open 1patchcos.bin hxd in hex and copy its contents to can paste.. then we find the second file to patch at hxd we dump on our part:

"00 00 00 00 00 00 10 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 40"

And in the same way as the first patched patched this also cojemos 2patchtrvk.bin pack the file and replace the entire contents including the:

"00 00 00 00 00 00 10 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 40"

Then we take the option we use reescramble flowrebuilder this dump so we rebuild our flash0.ECC.bin and flash1.ECC.bin and flash the result, when you finish you will notice that the PS3 now has a nice on but black screen, it cojemos our factory jig to put it into service mode and put it in factory, then the typical cojemos lv2diag of yore and the pup you please.

(NOTE: the first pup that metais will stay in the console as the minimum version that you can downgrade then, if you want to lose 3.55 to 3.41 then you will have to put the pup up to 3.41 before 3.55 or 3.55 will remain in that if cost will not rewrite the dump again to downgrade to lower the pup that you put the first time.)

Then you put your factory lv2diag to leave the service and you're

Note: this applies to repair the brick Waninkoko NAND not plates even sem-001 (tested) (and step downgrade )
