August 25, 2010 // 11:02 pm - We posted up some PS JailBreak videos from DynaModz yesterday, and today another Dutch site known as Consolewinkel.nl has shared a new PS JailBreak PS3 modchip video.

According to some of the captions in the video, Consolewinkel feels end-users should wait for a free version of the PS3 USB modchip as the PS JailBreak is overpriced.

To quote: "The Ps3 mounts the dvddrive with a backuped ISO file. Because of this the Ps3 still needs a disk to start the game.

Just want and get it for free ! We think Jailbreak software must be free just like the psp/wii and xbox software."

Those interested can check out the PS JailBreak video below courtesy of ombouwwinkel via YouTube!

Yeah I don't really trust them either, because they don't know what their talking about. The guy talks about having a disc in the UMD drive in the ps3 in one of their video's. And later he calls it a dvd drive, then later again he says UMD. Not once did he call it a blu-ray drive. I'd rather not let someone mod my console when they don't even know such basic things about the console's hardware.

It's been proven to be more then a memory stick but yes you will be able to build your own for under $15 no worries at all once it is reversed and documented.

i'm sure there will be a way to turn any flash drive into the "dongle"

I believe it is more likely that we will buying flash drives with small encryption chips on them that way we can just reprogram the chip to handshake the ps3 just like the dongle would then we could use the flash memory one the drive to store our programs... (illiminating the need for two flash drives, one to handshake the ps3 and one to load our program off)

Boss, that's awesome news. I'm really excited to hear that, and I'm sure there are plenty of others who would be excited after hearing that aswell. Luckily I've got a psp, so I can't wait for updates =p

I know at least one guy is working on a PSJailbreak emulator for PSP, since the PSP already has a special USB connection with the PS3 (to view game saves and games on PSP) it may be able to take the hardware's place but only time will tell.
