Video: First Hello World PS3 Arrives, Made with Leaked PS3 SDK

234w ago - In what may be the most lame video thus far, YouTube user vakalokass has shared one of a Hello World for Sony's PS3 entertainment system today.

Why is it considered lame exactly? Well, for starters the PS3 has been hacked and running code that Sony doesn't approve of for a few weeks now via PS JailBreak- including full PlayStation 3 game backups.

Download: PS3 Hello World

Anyway, those interested can check it out below and be aware it was made with a simple printf application using samples from the leaked PS3 SDK.

Finally, the video's caption simply reads as follows, to quote: "The first HelloWorld in PS3, by The_Marioga and CORAGON"

It is customary for the first homebrew developed on a console is a hello world (which we did two weeks ago, only the video k hang it yesterday), with which to test the SDK and the tools that accompany it.

Here you have the package http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H0VTYZU6

A simple printf is all it does, which doesn't mean much since Sony's own SDK samples were used... the amount of code it took to accomplish this is irrelevant hehe.

If you have the file, feel free to attach it though.

I see a lot of code to be a simple printf as you say in the news:

It says it's removed by the user now... I guess if anyone finds a mirror for the video just reply with it here and I will update the first post.

Would I be hunted down if I released a '.pkg' created using SONY's SDK?

I'm thinking of PSJB's 'manager.pkg' and nothing has been said about that. So I guess I'm safe?
