January 10, 2012 // 7:53 pm - Following up on my previous releases, today a new PS3 PKGView Extractor homebrew application version 1.2 update is available and has been fully tested by catalinnc.

PKGView is a tool for extracting files from PS3 PKG. Tool is 100% legal it contains no code Sony. PKGView also has a graphical interface that simplifies the extraction of both individual files and the complete package.

PS3 PKGView v1.2 Extractor Homebrew Application Version 1.2 Changelog:

  • FIX: Still failing to extract large files.
  • FIX: Structure parsing issues.
  • FIX: Other extraction issues.
  • More descriptive extraction window.
  • Optimized extraction of retail pkg.
  • Now creates an extraction log.

Same with me, tried running as administrator and also win xp compatibility, still not responding.

It doesn't work on the developer pkg's... Anyone have a solution to installing these?

Nothing - you can sit down and write it right away on your own

It's still 'BETA' for a reason damn.. No need to make a remark like that.

Now that it's been broken down, they can begin work on rebuilding which brings us one visible step closer to accessible (legit) homebrew development.

Good to be moving away from Sony SDK in a sense, not everyone knows where/wants to look for such things. Still can't get over how exciting things have gotten for us ps3 owners lately!
