To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v3.0

In time for the holidays, another revision bringing PS3 Game List to v3.0. The idea behind this release was to update once again the framework supporting the application, while including new stuff as well.

This version implements an interesting feature (which is yet another major addition to the application, and a project on its own): the ability to decode Sony’s proprietary ATRAC3Plus audio files. PAM video files (the animations displayed when the game is selected on XMB) can now be played with the corresponding audio stream.

Moreover, the tooltip info now includes available languages and game version, so it is easier to identify which game to play. Also, for those still using the late OS, Windows Xp support is back.

As for the Mac and Linux versions, it seems my virtual machines are to blame for the corrupted files, and it is still unresolved. Virtualization has its advantages, but it doesn’t always go smooth. It would be a good time to have a Mac setup donated. Anyone?

This is probably the last release using the current codebase. Next step will be tossing it, and rewriting the engine from scratch so it can accommodate the changes needed to support the PS4 games, among other things. Not sure what will happen, though.

Check the changelog below for all the 3.0 features.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v3.0

  • ATRAC3Plus audio decoding (PAM video files will now be played with the corresponding audio stream; configuration via settings dialog);
  • Windows Xp support is back;
  • Game version and available languages are now included in the tooltip info (triggered by hovering the mouse over a populated list);
  • Trophies can now be sorted by their value;
  • Built with the latest major release of Qt, OpenSSL and compiler for improvements in speed, security and size;
  • Fixed sorting updates by their count.

I'm still getting an error "The procedure entry point _Atomic_fetch_sub_4 cound not be located in the bynamic link library MSVCP110.dll."

So totally useless until I can get past that error to even load it up.

Excel / CSV exporting still doesn't work.

Also a question, so if I batch rename all my folders I imagine MM will still launch them fine without me making other changes. Correct?

Following up on his previous revision and the update from Nullptr, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v2.2 for Windows x64 users with the changes below.

Download: PS3 Game List v2.2 Manager for Windows

To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v2.2 - Another application update after a slightly longer hiatus, bringing PS3 Game List to v2.2.

The main highlight is support for SevenZip (7Zip) files. That means users can retire multiple programs for their decompressing needs, as PS3 Game List is now able to load game info from 7Zs and extract data as well (which means that it can now read game folders, PKGs, ISOs, RARs and 7Z compressed files!).

As you have noticed, PS3GL dropped support for Windows Xp due to framework limitations (the new compiler no longer supports Xp binaries), working just fine under Vista, Seven and Eight. Still looking into a Xp alternative for those interested, check back for updates.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v2.2

  • Support for compressed 7z files (data stored as a RAR file will not be editable; an icon will overlay both avatar and background image in order to differentiate the entry from standard game folders, and the tooltip will display additional info about the file; note that 7z files, like ISO images and PKG files, do not follow the ‘folder depth’ configuration, just have them stored at the root of a directory and they will be loaded as a regular game folder);
  • Pam files played from compressed files will be overlaid with the corresponding icon;
  • Fixed column customization setting;
  • Fixed issue while loading avatar from RAR;
  • Fixed add game icon not being available;
  • Fixed loading PKG games from CSV/Excel;

Following up on his previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v2.1 for Windows x64 users with the changes detailed below.

Download: PS3 Game List v2.1 Manager for Windows

To quote from his blog: Yet another application update, bringing PS3 Game List to v2.1. Due to the major framework revision implemented in v2.0, some of the new features needed more polishing to better suit the app engine.

This version improves PS3GL responsiveness while loading data from multiple media sources (game folders, PKGs, ISOs and RAR compressed files) simultaneously. Basically, it means less time waiting and more time doing stuff that matters.

Another long time requested feature is the ability to manually add a game to the loaded list and search for its updates, even if the game is not in the user’s library. Fret no more, simply add the game to your list and PS3GL will search for its updates (to be fair, it was already possible to do that by importing a standalone game list from Excel).

Speaking of which, PS3GL now exports and imports a game list saved in CSV file format as well. It is useful to future application ports (since the Linux and Mac releases never had that feature), and to those Windows users that did not have Excel installed (the option to export to Worksheet format was maintained, and Office 2013 is now supported).

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v2.1

  • Improved application responsiveness (while loading multiple game formats simultaneously);
  • Users can now download updates for games they do not own (by clicking on the corresponding icon and inputting the game ID, e.g. BCUS98114);
  • Support for CSV file format (users can export their game list to a CSV file and later import it as well; improved app portability and useful to those who do not use Excel);
  • Fixed Excel importing/exporting (for those who prefer using the worksheet format; requires Microsoft Excel installed);
  • Fixed application crash while loading malformed SFOs.

Hello

Unfortunately, the Exel support in version 2.0 broke

I install this then it gets errors when it tries to load the list of games. Then when it finally loads then which takes about 3-4 times longer than the last version and I try to update a game it crashes and exits.

Another bug. "Users can now customize table columns layout" doesn't work. It does remove columns but it doesn't remember so you have to do it after every reboot of the app.
