96w ago - Following up on his previous revision and the update from Nullptr, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v2.2 for Windows x64 users with the changes below.

Download: PS3 Game List v2.2 Manager for Windows

To quote from his blog: PS3 Game List v2.2 - Another application update after a slightly longer hiatus, bringing PS3 Game List to v2.2.

The main highlight is support for SevenZip (7Zip) files. That means users can retire multiple programs for their decompressing needs, as PS3 Game List is now able to load game info from 7Zs and extract data as well (which means that it can now read game folders, PKGs, ISOs, RARs and 7Z compressed files!).

As you have noticed, PS3GL dropped support for Windows Xp due to framework limitations (the new compiler no longer supports Xp binaries), working just fine under Vista, Seven and Eight. Still looking into a Xp alternative for those interested, check back for updates.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v2.2

  • Support for compressed 7z files (data stored as a RAR file will not be editable; an icon will overlay both avatar and background image in order to differentiate the entry from standard game folders, and the tooltip will display additional info about the file; note that 7z files, like ISO images and PKG files, do not follow the ‘folder depth’ configuration, just have them stored at the root of a directory and they will be loaded as a regular game folder);
  • Pam files played from compressed files will be overlaid with the corresponding icon;
  • Fixed column customization setting;
  • Fixed issue while loading avatar from RAR;
  • Fixed add game icon not being available;
  • Fixed loading PKG games from CSV/Excel;

Following up on his previous version, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v3.3 for Windows, Linux and OSX platforms with the changes below.

Download: ps3gl_v3-3-rar.key / ps3gl_v3.3.rar (Fixed) / ps3gl_v3.3.rar (Final Fixed) / ps3gl3-3_linux-rar.key / ps3gl3-3_osx-zip.key

To quote from his blog: After a hiatus, another application update, bringing PS3 Game List to v3.3. The main highlight is the support for creation of ISO9660 files (regular CDFS ISOs). It was already possible to create ISO13346 files (UDF), so users can now choose another filesystem to store their game data.

Also, PS3GL can now export the game library to PDF, including the avatar and background, quite a neat feature. Additionally, there is a new functionality to copy the game update URLs to the clipboard, useful to download the files in another app.

Decided to move the code base to 64bit, and the Linux and OSX ports provided a good challenge. In some tests, ended up being faster than the Windows version (not ported to 64bit yet, maybe in a future release).

OSX version should work out of the box on anything above Montain Lion (tested under Yosemite 10.10.1, no issues). Linux version should work in any distro, as well (tested under the Cinnamon and Unity DE, no issues; in case of missing libs, just run the sh script instead of the app to load the provided dyn libs). Both ports lack some of the features of the Windows release, though. Perhaps, in a future release.

For all versions above, replace the '-' character with '.' and remove the '.key' extension (it is a limitation so the files can be stored at wordpress, not some crappy file storage site).

Anyways, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

v3.3

  • Support for both OSX/64 and Linux/64;
  • ISO9660 file system image support (users can both create and load ISO images (CDFS and UDF 2.50) of games in their library; data stored as an ISO image will not be editable; an icon will overlay both avatar and background image in order to differentiate the entry from standard game folders, and the tooltip will display additional info about the volume; note that ISO images do not follow the 'folder depth' configuration, just have them stored at the root of a directory and they will be loaded as a regular game folder);
  • Support for PDF file format (users can export their game list to a predetermined PDF format, useful for quickly browsing through the game library);
  • Option to copy game update URLs to clipboard;
  • Redesigned 'About' screen to display app change log;
  • Fixed text truncation issue while exporting a game list that contained Unicode characters;
  • Fixed issue when clearing game list while downloading updates;
  • Fixed missing info while displaying ISO data;
  • Built with the latest major release of Qt, OpenSSL and compiler for improvements in speed, security and size.

Update: Windows version had an installer issue, fixed link coming later on today!

Update 2: Windows release had an installer issue, so it was unavailable for a while. All set now, download link below.

Update 3: Windows version fixed!

Update 4: Final fix available! Should run fine, at last.

The latest Qt update proved to be a little harder to deploy, I suppose. Final update for the Windows version available above, for those having problems with the 'windows platform' message.
