February 19, 2013 // 8:27 pm - Following up on his previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has updated PS3 Game List Manager to version v2.1 for Windows x64 users with the changes detailed below.

To quote from his blog: Yet another application update, bringing PS3 Game List to v2.1. Due to the major framework revision implemented in v2.0, some of the new features needed more polishing to better suit the app engine.

This version improves PS3GL responsiveness while loading data from multiple media sources (game folders, PKGs, ISOs and RAR compressed files) simultaneously. Basically, it means less time waiting and more time doing stuff that matters.

Another long time requested feature is the ability to manually add a game to the loaded list and search for its updates, even if the game is not in the user’s library. Fret no more, simply add the game to your list and PS3GL will search for its updates (to be fair, it was already possible to do that by importing a standalone game list from Excel).

Speaking of which, PS3GL now exports and imports a game list saved in CSV file format as well. It is useful to future application ports (since the Linux and Mac releases never had that feature), and to those Windows users that did not have Excel installed (the option to export to Worksheet format was maintained, and Office 2013 is now supported).

As you have noticed, PS3GL dropped support for Windows Xp due to framework limitations (the new compiler no longer supports Xp binaries), working just fine under Vista, Seven and Eight. Still looking into a Xp alternative for those interested, check back for updates.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

  • Improved application responsiveness (while loading multiple game formats simultaneously);
  • Users can now download updates for games they do not own (by clicking on the corresponding icon and inputting the game ID, e.g. BCUS98114);
  • Support for CSV file format (users can export their game list to a CSV file and later import it as well; improved app portability and useful to those who do not use Excel);
  • Fixed Excel importing/exporting (for those who prefer using the worksheet format; requires Microsoft Excel installed);
  • Fixed application crash while loading malformed SFOs.

Following up on his previous updates, PlayStation 3 developer wborland0 has now made available PS3 Game List v1.9.2 Manager for Windows, Linux and Mac users.

To quote: Another revision bringing PS3 Game List to v1.9.2. Despite the minor release digit, this version implements an interesting feature (which almost stands as a project of its own): ISO 9660 file system support.

Users who have the various dongles that provide ISO image functionality can now use the app to manage their game library, check the change log for additional info. I am considering adding UDF support as well, if there is demand for it.

Since multiupload has been down for a while, I’ve been looking for alternatives. I intend to host the files at, the project seems to fit their developer initiative well. I will get in touch with them and arrange something out. Meanwhile, the download is available at the provided link, it will do for now.

PS3 Game List change-log and features:

  • ISO 9660 file system image support (currently read-only, data stored as an ISO image will not be editable; an icon will overlay both avatar and background image in order to differentiate the entry from standard game folders, and the tooltip will display additional info about the volume; note that ISO images do not follow the ‘folder depth’ configuration, just have them stored at the root of a directory and they will be loaded as a regular game folder);
  • Linux version now allows game directory browsing;
  • Fixed issue causing eventual background image distortion.

The Linux port of PS3 Game List, based upon v1.9.2, is available for download. It implements most of the Windows version features (minus the platform specific functionality). The OpenSSL package is required (download the correspondent version for your release), and so is the Qt lib (the download link includes base files).

The OSX port of PS3 Game List, based upon v1.9.2, is here, featuring the same app updates (minus the platform specific functionality). Mac OS X 10.5 or up is required, so is OpenSSL (OSX ships with a slightly outdated version, but it should work; feel free to update to the latest release, though) and the Qt lib (the download link includes base files).

Haven’t tested it on Lion, let me know of any eventual misbehavior.

As usual, feel free to suggest something new, and, if you happen to find any bugs, please report them as well.

Ah, that would explain things. Anyway, can't wait for more updates.

I don't want to be a pest or anything, but would anyone know why PS3 Game List would suddenly stop finding games?

I mean it used to work, and I have reinstalled it over and over. But now it just doesn't detect any games inside my designated folder.

These are Linux/Unix generic commands. That won't work on Windows (only change directory).

What's this?

Couldn't even get the first command to work. Sorry, that stuff is a little over my head.

Odd, with the new version I can't even get it to detect my games on my external.

Going to try previous versions.

Hi, Windows 7. There are no error messages, just the "processing" mouse pointer when I scroll over the window. The HDD led is also flashing. But even half an hour later it still does this. It finds out ok which updates are needed, but hangs when trying to dl them.
