I've used an e3 flasher over the weekend on a my Killzone bundle that got accidentally updated by a friend. By far the easiest compared to other methods - even though there were some issues with positioning the clip. There are a few good youtube videos out there, just search and follow them

I been hacking~jail breaking but we all know that not all the ps3's UPDATPUP. Are most of the updates fake because each one I have used are all corrupted. So is a e3 flasher a more easier/only way of jail breaking?

Hi Sharred this is a common problem with the E3 product and tends to give you bad dumps. You need to have even pressure throughout the process of your dump otherwise this will happen.

You will also want to check the clip and see if the clip does not have bent pins. You might be better off buying yourself a new clip. Good Luck and please let us know what results you get.

Hi there, I just bought a cechk ps3 that was on Rogeros 4.4X custom firmware but then updated via Pro Evolution 16 to official 4.75 by accident.

I have used e3 on my friends ps3 and I am not a total noob but now i am experiencing a problem, Ps3 dump checker always failed on 88 of 138 checks. I updated to 4.76 and still have the same errors.

What should I do now? Is it possible that the clip doesnt fit very well or has to do something with the need of dehashing?

I merged it into the ongoing E3 discussion thread since it revolved around one of their products, as this is where we keep / archive all of the related E3 topics.

If you want to start a new help thread you can when your ribbon arrives though.

So I just opened up my PS3 and sanded down the part of the clip that's close to a resistor on the board (even though it wasn't touching it), cleaned up the clip with some alcohol, added a rubber piece on top, a penny, and another rubber piece and then I noticed that the ribbon had a small tear in it.

I just ordered a new ribbon from eBay. Hopefully it gets here in less than 2 weeks unlike the E3 flasher kit which took 2 months!

As for the log file, it doesn't mention any errors. Everything is OK on it.

BTW, I tried adding pressure with my hands to make some backups before I took apart the PS3 and this time the dumps had 38 dangers instead of 42.

Um, what happened to my thread?

There should be a log file also recorded on the Microsd card. You could send that txt file to racer as well.

You have determination. I remember your post now. But yeah you need verified dumps before flashing back, so do as said above.

Misiozol is right. You need to get a valid dump from the E3 flasher. I know you say that you have enough pressure it sounds like you need to have more pressure applied. When you are making the dump you can apply even pressure with the clips with your fingers.

Please try this again and then run the verifier to make sure you get all good and no error. I used a Sd card plastic piece from a laptop and just applied pressure with that and worked on the third dump.

PM racer and you can also have him verify your dumps for you. Good luck and post back your results.
