Thanks, I'm going to start playing with this a bit to see if we can repurpose the PSN Channel or Network channel to hold pkg apps. +rep

What did you use to make your dev_flash writeable?

Just open category_video.xml in wordpad and remove this:

[Register or Login to view code]

then save and replace it, done

According to Devil03, you can't remove the main category icons without causing GameOS to crash. They icons and code for them is located in .sprx files that currently cannot be edited. I would like to see your code for removing the Video Editor, I got a tied up with the cable company last night and couldn't mess with my ps3.

Also, I think this discussion should be moved to this thread:

Hey. you mean the network section where browser is right?

i'm thinking of removing it also because i only have browser in it anyway, but when you download items there will come a "Download Management" in the network section so i dunno if we can remove it? what happends with the download manager then ??

Yeah the video editor and photo gallery crap was the hardest to find with the way those xml's where spread out. Finaly got them though. Now to find where the main icons, like playstation network icon on main xmb, is at. Right now mine is just an icon with no toggle icons in it, so would be nice to get rid of it also.

I have no idea if NTFS support would be added, but the recently released library is not for use in MFW. It allows homebrew devs to add NTFS support to their apps. This does not translate into NTFS support in GameOS. For example, it can be used to allow an AVCHD or other type of media player (think XBMC) to playback files from an NTFS volume. It does NOT allow a backup manger like MultiMan to mount games from an NTFS volume since GameOS is required to play the games once MultiMan exits.

Will the new NTFS libraries be included in future releases too?

Update: kakaroto and the other devs behind this are aware of the bug that causes this MFW not to be able to copy saved games to/from a usb source. They state that it will be corrected in the next release.
