274w ago - Today I have discovered a PS2 iSO image of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 that is included on the PS3 Dragon Ball: Raging Blast game disc.

A picture of it is below, SLUS-21441 that also includes a BIN.DAT dummy file and it's a PS2 master disc image... meaning it will run on a TEST unit only, or anyone who has a mod-chip of course.

It is fine to mount on the PC or burn, but unfortunately I do not have a PS2 to test it out on.

If anyone also has this PlayStation 3 title and some freetime, it is perhaps worth it to examine the files from it!

The main reason is that the disc image starts at the centre of the disc but you get better read speeds from the outer part of the disc. So generally, the EBOOT is at the beginning of the image, then loads of padding and then the game data.

See now after all I do believe this is an error.. they never intended to add this image.

Just difficult to believe this did go through checking

Why do not you compare the original (TOC) with this finding and see if there is any encryption.

Final, after image burn, it not boot on any TEST/mod PS2 because it not full image, the TOC is 2.xGB, image only 1GB, so it just split 1GB for dummy file in PS3 Disc.

I've tried both programms now but i didn't get anything. I guess the file is not what it looks to be, is corrupted or encrypted.

Do you think the file could be corrupted because i used a cheap bd-drive to copy it? Or could it be encrypted?

I wish i would know more about all this stuff but i sadly don't. I could even install Linux on my PS3 and make a image of the Game if that would help. Just tell me what to do

This is interesting. nice find. Could this possibly be included for when a ps2 emulator is finally activated in a FW update?
I know it's wishful thinking but I just find it strange that they accidently missed this. then agian stranger things have happened.

Quite accidentally i had rented PS3 Dragon Ball: Raging Blast (German) the Day you've posted the News. So I checked the BluRay with my Computer and found a BIN.DAT, it's has 1.073.676.288 bytes so nearly 1gig like the one showed in the News.

I would like to know how you found the Name/Text with the HexEditor because my file seems to be different.
Also did you just have to rename the file to mount it or what did you do?

I'm asking because i could try it out on my modded ps2.

Hi,
I was wondering if you can open the image with a program like CD/DVD GEN or Ultraiso.
Wouldn't this file also be encrypted though?
Give it a try and let us know if you can actually see some game files.
