February 5, 2012 // 8:37 pm - Following up on the previous update, this weekend PlayStation 3 homebrew development group DexL0ve have made available a PS3 patched DEX LV2_Kernel.Self for CEX consoles followed by a revision below that fixes PS3 crashing issues.

Download: PS3 Patched DEX LV2_Kernel.Self for CEX Consoles / PS3 Patched DEX LV2_Kernel.Self for CEX Consoles (Mirror) / PS3 Patched DEX LV2_Kernel.Self for CEX Consoles (Fixed)

Essentially this PKG release is a patched LV2 DEX (Debug / Test) kernel for CEX (Retail) PS3 consoles based on the recent LV2 Loader release.

To quote: From my limited understanding of PS3 coding and reading the NFO file, that by using the LV2_Loader released by Team Rebug earlier, and by QA flag'ing your CEX machine, this file is basically a patched LV2 DEX kernel that will load fully on your CEX machine and thereby give you some DEX (aka) TEST machine L0VE on your Jailbroken PS3 Console.

From Cyberskunk: Syscall 8, 9, 10 are broken in this lv2_kernel.self. The patch for 3.55 CEX lv2 has been used which ends up point to the wrong offset. The kernel will still work but if an app calls those syscalls the PS3 will crash. Hopefully it was just a mistake and they will fix it..

Finally, from the included PS3 NFO File:

And is there a way to have both mm installed, so i can switch between cex n dex mm, or is there no need for it anymore??

I will say it for the last time. Please if you are a beginner do NOT use these tools until some tut is out (especially this one cause most beginners, and average users in general don't need DEX functionality, and it becomes easier to create a brick if you tinker around with cex>dex and not know what you are doing.)...

i had 3 CEX machines, so i thought i use one to play around with that CEX-DEX tool. now it's end with red light of 'dude, it's dead!'..
so it's true: too much CEX will brick you.

btw, can i use this pkg on Other OS++ fw?

then for now its worthless for beginners?

Is there any risk of bricking? the Qa-flag is the toggle_qa.pkg from rebug?

can we use the debug eboots?

kreus use with caution: Rebug 3.55.2 -> QA-fl. -> LV2Loader -> lv2_kernel.self -> mmCM 4.01

I think 4 the normals user (like me) it gives 2 much access 2 the system. Possible advantages could be 2 load a debug fself but I am to less-informed and I would be sooo glad if the pros would enlighten us (Nabnab

The fixed version just fix the broken syscall... that was badly used...

anyway all this stuff come up after all the announcement last week, this is pretty weird and with not respect (LV2Loader - LV2kernel - DEX multiman)
