From his page, to quote roughly translated: This PS3 CFW is installed directly into the NAND has been tested in different models of console (FAT and Slim, reported in the main post) and without any bricking or similar problem.

The testers have reported a high stability in the CFW and the same compatibility with games that could be obtained with different dongles.

The main core of the payload is based on Hermes, also has some features of PL3 and supplementary code and improved by Waninkoko.

Attempted to create an application that enable / disable the payload, so that after leaving a manager backup Blu-ray was functional. After some testing has not been able to be operational, it would be desirable for the various backups managers were in charge of implementing such functionality or may be added in a later CFW.

Well, my Kmeaw 3.55 has syscall and stuff built-in, so all I need is to run the latest multiman after booting to play my backups, no need for .pkg.

I eventually had to go back to 3.41 OFW and then upgrade to Waninkoko V2 and all my games worked again. So I get it now "you got to upgraded from a OFW>CFW for everything to work the way it's supposed to"

I have that same model PS3.

Update to 3.55 OFW and then to Waninkoko V2 or Kmeaw, Waninkoko has the payload built in, Kmeaw requires you to run .pkg with payload everytime you want to play backups.

Someone says like this: Integrated payload CFW's are now useless since the "payloads" are now integrated into managers. Keeps things cleaner, since you only need to update your manager if a payload update or fix comes out. You don't have to flash your firmware.

Because of this looks like I'll go for KMEAW. Can someone give me explanation to that?

No , it will be overwritten by the new firmware. if there was a patch.pup version you could do that. if you can't get any write enabler to work on your FW the next best way to change coldboot sound would be to repack it into the pup file before you install it. Use failoverflow tools to resign it

You will have to do some research if you want to do that though. good luck.

I tried that still the black screens for my games. All of them work for Hermes should I just downgrade to OFW 3.41 then go to Waninkoko 3.55 V2? I know GTA complete edition only works for external HDD with Waninkoko. But my others are on Internal HDD.

use the ps3 restore method to go back to OFW 3.55. once that's done, use the ps3 restore method again to go to WV2...
