February 9, 2011 // 8:51 am - As Sony usually does several days after each new PlayStation 3 Firmware update is released, today they have patched the proxy and PSN bypass methods following the release of the revised PS3 Firmware 3.56 rendering the PS3 DNS hacks useless once again.

Needless to say, when the next PS3 Firmware update arrives the PlayStation Network bypass methods will work again for another week or so before they are shut off, and the cycle will repeat for those unfamiliar with this pattern.

It also looks like Sony is remotely freezing PS3's that are already online using the bypass and when I unplugged the hard ps3 and booted it back up it wanted me to rebuild by database ^_^

Happened to both of my PS3's, leave me some feedback if this happed to any of you guys. Rebooted PS3's and had 2 extra applications on my XMB that were corrupt WTF?

You do realize that this site is called ps3news, right? You're probably gonna come across quite a few 'fanboys'...

Same here, saaame here. As for devs, from what I gather they are too busy with Linux at the moment. Sure it's going to be useless for most of people, but that was the original intent behind hacking the PS3 in the first place. This scene isn't as much piracy loving as the Xbox or PS3 one. Nobody bothers making spoofer or NPDRM cracker.

lol... Why are you so mad. he just made a point that they hakd live and it works fine.. I do belive also that psn will be mad available for cfw again. Only a matter of time... All we need is a bsdiff patch for the firmware to spoff it into being 3.56, they must have putten a check in the 3.56 firmware.

Then updated the PSN network servers to not accept the firmware if it has not been patched with the update is 3.56, i hope i am making sense to someone. Maybe a patch for the fw 3.55 to include the check psn checks for when logging in.

Can't tell if you are a troll but talking about a "suck box" just shows how much of a idiotic fanboy you are.

XBox 360's are amazing in their own right and I buy games for whatever console is the cheapest as see little difference between the two.

Why are so many people worried? The devs WILL find a way around Sony's fruitless attempts at blocking us.

The same way as Suck-Box users with hacked machines have been enjoying Live for years! Its just a matter of time.

The scene has accomplished so much in the last 6-8 months and the Devs have proven to be more than equal to Sony lame attempts so far. Desperation has set in but its to late, there machine is broken and their asses pawned.

We won't be offline for long Sony! We'll be back sooner rather than later.

no its in there, I'm more suprised it wasn't in there from the beginning.

Sony have a legal responsibility to protect the PSN users and their personal information. People running cfw and homebrew pose a severe risk to that. They'll never allow cfw users on their network in the long run, and contrary to popular belief it really comes down to what Sony will allow as far as the PSN is concerned. There may be the odd exploit or bypass that'll work for a few days but there'll never be a secure way of accessing PSN in the long run.

Has this been confirmed? I thought it ended up being a rumor.
