February 24, 2011 // 6:35 pm - Following up on the recent N64 Emulator for PS3 videos posted, today another Team known as EmulateMii have announced that the PS364 Nintendo 64 Emulator for PS3 is currently under development.

To quote: "We've been playing with PSL1GHT, the legal, open SDK for PS3, over the past couple days, and we have a basic port of Wii64 to PS3 already. Expect more to come...

PS. There is some recent news about a team claiming to be working on an N64 emulator for PS3. Just so you know, that story is not about us or about PS364."

Yes, I have. And no, it doesn't. And it's actually mupen64Plus. mupen64 has been dead for 5 years. And no emulators besides the one in pre-alpha in the MESS project and perhaps the latest project64 beta support any form of LLE, which is a requirement for ALL ROMS. If you read my post, you would have noticed I said that the emulator playing all roms isn't plausible.

Because it isn't. Games like Star Wars Naboo Starfighter aren't playable because they use a different microcode than most all games, and that microcode isn't HLE'd. LLE would be necessary for it to be playable. And LLE emulators are still in their infancy.

If it ends up being fake at least he took the time to make the additional videos people asked for here on it. As with most things based solely on videos posted, only time will tell for sure I imagine.

must be my eyes but it still looks fake to me, there's a cut in the video when the screen goes black again (like the other two vids) but hopefully I'm wrong.

OK here's the best video so far. FAQ's have been asked and replied to in the comments section below the video. Read them and read the description for all the details on why there's no menu and what not.

Yes. If you read the video description you'll see what I'm working on and what I got so far.

Newest updates: I think I am about to solve the ps3 controller issue.

Kudos to you guys, it's fantastic to see progress towards a full speed N64 emu.

A couple of quick questions if i may, what are your end goals? (apart from the obvious) & do you plan to incorporate the support that Project64 has for texture enhancement (HQ4x etc) and hi-res texture pack loading (L.O.Z.O.O.T, Mario64 etc)

On behalf of all N64 fans - many, many thanks for all your hard work so far. I look forward to hearing of your progress on this.

and shocker for a second time we don't see you select an n64 emu on xmb and video cuts during loading. If it is real then that's some weird michael bay style POC filming lol
