To quote: This CFW was tested on most PS3 Models by different testers and no problems were encountered. But as any CFW release you must install it with caution and by following proper instructions, No one will be held responsible for any damage caused.

Rogero CFW4.40 v1.03 Changelog:

  • Rebuilt the CFW with minimal patches needed for similar OFW Stability, also adding full compatibility with multiMAN Tools.
  • All known issues from v1.02 are fixed now (XMB PS2 Game Saves, Sequential Video Playback, Media Server always on)
  • Removed Cinavia Patch used on v1.02 because of some compatibility issues (When DEX4.40 is public it will be added properly again)
  • Added the ToolBox to [app_home/PS3_GAME] to restore multiMAN/StealthMAN launch mode from ToolBox.
  • Updated the ReactPSN patch to work offline without the need to log into PSN at all (Credits to Team Rebug for their original 4.30.1 Patch)
  • Added both noBD/noBT patches to allow installation on consoles with broken BluRay Drive or Bluetooth board.

Features:

  • This CFW can be installed fine from XMB Update over OFW3.55 or any CFW ver: 3.55/4.21/4.30/4.40
  • Added the needed patches for the Original "*Install Package Files" Credits to Szalay and "hidden Man".
  • HDD can be swapped/changed and the CFW will re-install without any problem.
  • Patched LV1 to disable LV2 Protection.
  • Patched LV1 to add peek/poke support.
  • Patched LV1 Core OS Hash Check (to prevent Bricking on non-dehashed downgraded consoles)
  • Patched LV2 to add peek/poke support.
  • QA Flag enabled by default to allow for easier downgrading using Recovery Menu.
  • RSOD screen bypass patch for RSOD machines (it won't fix the RSOD but allows the PS3 to boot fine into XMB)
  • PSN/SEN access is available but it's not recommended.
  • It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.40 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed.
  • The CFW can be used directly for Downgrading with Hardware flashers using the new tool PS3 Nor and Nand Auto Patcher v0.04

Hi, I am a newbie when it comes to jailbreak a ps3. I have downloaded this CFW in my USB key and it detected it with the CFW in my super slim 4k. After reading User Agreement, I see that it says that it's unauthorized to install software or put hardware that will make me have cracked games.

But I think it's saying that as default. Then I read that there is Stealthman, Toolbox and mutliman stuff. What do they do? And will I be to install a software in this CFW that will make me have free games? Help me quick pl0x! Thanks!

I formatted my system but it got interrupted due to power failure and the ps3 asks for a software update file? My ps3 was jailbreaked and was running rogero cfw earlier. Thanks

Can i use this file as a update without risks?

yes you can do that via recovery menu without a flasher (its much dangerous to do things via flasher, even in downgrading process, that's why a good NAND/NOR backup is necessary before doing anything on flash) but I dont see reason why you need to downgrade (except if you want some homebrews that only works on certain firmware version) specially if you use your PS3 mainly for backups

Hello, basically i wanted to update my ps3 cfw i am on Rogero 4.41 v1.0 but is it fine to update over cfw, i haven't done this in a while since new games are coming out and required the 4,46 fw i need to update or is it best to not to because since there's a few stables cfw so what would you all suggest to do? the best alternative ?

also once i update can i revert back to some other cfw like if i am not satisfied can i revert back to Rogero 4.41 or i have to use a flasher to get back to stock and re do the whole process again.

I had the same problem with rogero 4.46 so I went back to rogero 4.40 and the problem was gone. My ps3 is banned so really no reason for me to update anyways.

Hi All,

I have 2 PS3 with the same Rogero 4.46 v1.01 and the latest MM 04.46.03.

When I try to update a game within MM, it finds the update. When I go to d/l it, I get this error message on ONE of the machines.

"Please attach USB storage device to save update data and try again!" This happens on all games, regardless of whether it's installed internal / external or game disc.

Doesn't matter if I do exactly what it says or not. It won't go any further. Any suggestions? The other machine works fine for updates...

Don't get it...

Thanks!
