134w ago - Shortly following his PS3Ultimate PS3 TV Application v1.10 update, PlayStation 3 homebrew developer RazorX has also released a PS3 RCO Free Package Manager and Web Browser Plus PKG file with details below.

Download: PS3 RCO Free Package Manager / PS3 Web Browser Plus PKG File

To quote: Hey guys I've created this simple rco free package manager installable zip file for you, this can easily be incorporated into your cfw with very little impact and is completely safe and for those of you who want to install a package manager that won't need you to replace any rco files, this is great if you created your own cfw and installing a standard package manager will change your XMB names or layout.

This also will allow you to install packages from:

[Register or Login to view code]

Along with this I am releasing a Web browser which utilizes multimans browser which means you can launch the Web browser from the network category and download pkg files directly to your hdd and with this package manager install them also the package manager it's self will show up in the network category so it's out of the way.

This won't damage or replace any other package manager you have installed.

For those of you who don't know how to install this all you do is extract the zip and put the PS3~dev_blind~vsh~resource~explore~xmb.zip file on your usb stick then launch multiman, goto mmOS then browse your usb stick and double click on the file and it will ask you if you want to install it choose yes and you're done.

Hope you enjoy this please let me know what you think..

F.A.Q.:

Q: What does RCO-Free mean?

A: It has exellent compatibility because it will work on just about anything also imagine you made your own cfw with altered rco files and set it up perfect just the way you like it then you install a package manager and because it replaced a rco that you had altered you hard work is gone.

Also it reduces the size to next to nothing and it makes it 100% easier to incorporate it into your own cfw if you choose to make one or already have one and since the xml files hardly change you could probably get away with installing it on any update whether you install it with the installable zip or do it manually and it has the multiman downloads folder added to it.

So if you download a pkg through multiman it will show up on the package manager and it also has the directory for the web browser app I provided you can see the full list in the spoiler I'm all about making things simple why make the same app complicated if you can make it simple also if you don't know what your doing its best not to install something that could potentially damage your PS3 with this you don't need to worry.

Just keep your regular ReBug, and unplug or turn off the lan. Or tell people to just not mess with your ps3.

If you had to change a tire on your car, would you take off the fender? If your an idiot i guess.

This is just about the most messed thing you could do to downloaders. Give them a "hint hint" so they think it is worth the time it takes to download. Why not give them a piece of toilet paper, and say, here's a special napkin, hint hint.

People would do better spending their time, picking their nose, or staring at the wall.

LOL Funny you should say that.. Only yesterday i found myself picking my nose, while staring at the wall, trying to figure out how to remove my fenders so i could change tires and drive to the shop to buy some special napkins.. But seriously can anyone answer what the(hint hint)other features are? are they even there? why can't anyone actually seem to list them?

I don't need a spoof anyways LOLmy jb ps3 isn't connectable to net.. what has this even got to do with QA Flag menu? also you can't play burnt bd disc games on ps3 at all.. but might be able to if your ps3 has been QA Flagged? correct?

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum. I heard a lot of it so joined it. I just got my PS3. It has MultiMan Installed, Firmware version is 3.55..
I am a noob in PS3 right now. I beg you, please tell me what this spoofing means and is there any way to go online using spoofs with original dvds?

this patch fixes the BSG issue, and installs privacy patch (DNS Error, hint hint) on the downside it eliminates DEX menu 1 & the spoof is only for 3.61 (which is now useless since 3.65's release) if you have a problem w/ it wait for the official update from Team REBUG.

Edit: nobody held a gun to your head and told you to d/l it.

Damn Sony. I want to play online, but I can't because then I lose the ability to have the hack thing which I barely use anyway.

Really? I know Sony fixed the chain of trust issues in 3.56 (LV1, and LV2 are gone basically), and they added new keys for eboot.bin files in 3.60 for games, but as far as I know of they didn't fix the signing issue with PUP files or modified firmware.

Maybe I should ask the question differently. What checks in the PS3 would prevent a simple modification the version to original firmware 3.55 from installing?

OK I have to ask some silly questions. Just go with me on this one. Does this spoof really allow you to say downgrade to 3.55 by updating to say a 3.90 firmware (which is really just 3.55 modified so that it thinks its 3.90)?

If so what is to prevent someone from doing the following?

1. Downgrade to a 3.55 firmware by making the PS3 think it's a 3.90 update.
2. Set the QA Flag to allow firmware downgrading
3. Upgrade to an official firmware 3.61/3.65 for PSN access, downgrading for CFW uses. I suppose you could burn BD-R's to use on OFW 3.61 if you didn't want to switch back and forth.

It still not CFW 3.61 but it's defiantly one step closer.

To answer from the first post: "it will only spoof the PS3 Firmware version number... it won't allow PSN access or running newer PlayStation 3 titles" so nah, all it does is prevent the PS3 Firmware from being updated (for example, if you have a friend over and they try to update it and so on).

As for getting newer games to work, only update patches (when released) or a new PS3 hack will help with them.
