70w ago - Following up on the previous revision, today PlayStation 3 developers Estwald and D_Skywalk have updated the PS3 backup game manager known as Iris Manager to version 2.80 followed by IrisMAN v2.80-1 and v2.80-2 Mod from aldostools with the changes detailed below.

To quote, roughly translated: What's New in version 2.80:

  • The ISOs now will take the title name from PARAM.SFO (so far took the file name) and also will show the background image of the game in the Options dialog.
  • New support for PSX Cobra / Mamba from "Disc-Less Payload" : works with the same versatility as the old, but adding PSX support PSX for NTFS/EXTx units, thanks to the new plugin that allows you to change up to 8 ISOs of PSX ( unplugging / replugging the device NTFS / EXTx in the latter case to change iso)
  • Changes for PSX in Cobra / Mamba "Disc-Less Payload" mode with respect to the old are:

    1) All Games now use the plugin by default. The games stored in /dev_hdd0 and /dev_usb00x can use the old emulation (PSX payload) selecting "old_emu" or "old_netemu".

    2) To eject/insert a disc, the changes are as follows (remember that only from the Cobra/Mamba plugin in "Disc-Less Payload" mode):

  • If the game is in NTFS / EXTx, you must unplug / plug the USB device.
  • If the game is stored in /dev_hdd0 or /dev_usb00x, it will use the first device found with a FAT partition (device '/dev_usb' ) and if this fails, then it will use the first non-FAT USB device connected (NTFS / EXTx for example). Remember that unpluging the LED will flash.

    3) If the ps1_rom.bin is used and L2 button is held down on the pad when the game is launched, it is also possible to run the rom from NTFS / EXTx without a CD to copy/delete the data from the memory card that is using the game (this is useful for handling Internal_MC.VM1). You must exit from the emulator after finishing, as the old PSX payload used.

    4) Leaving the PSX emulator it is possible to launch the game from the disc, but in doing so, the video will be set to PAL/NTSC depending on the region of your system, and you must select the memory card from the emulator and keep in mind that if the game does not belong to your region, it will freeze.

  • Added changes from official Iris Manager 2.80
  • Added "Download Latest webMAN" under Tools menu (Cobra CFW only)

Changelog 2.80-2:

  • Increased the font size in File Manager
  • Added display of the path for the selected game to Options menu

PSXGAMES folder on usb SILENT HILL folder bin.cue or iso + COVER.JPG (1024max).

Go to manager (PSX are showed in the grid) settings done. Much better than MM to run psx games.

Some multi .bin/tracks games should be ensembled and converted to iso to run, ex. RAGE RACER.

Use Monster manager or PLAY manager, are pure iris fork to 4.70 (see EOL). Add libfs to the manager (go to that option in manager menu) to run some ps3 games on 4.70 like COD AW and SNIPER Elite 3. Need nothing more.

How does it work ? So basically, when the temperature change, instead of setting the value directly, is reached it is trying to reach the target speed from wherever you are in a series of steps.

Usleep as the loop is 400 ms, that means a step forward every 400 ms, as indeed I have left (there is an internal counter that counts to 5 and at position 1 makes the temperature reading and tries to adjust steps in relation to the tables and no one moves every turn.

If this I want to play, you there. In principle, it is matched up to a maximum of 5 steps, but as a decimal precision is lost, there may be more, of course.

good work... but when moving them on to my usb flash drive do i put it in the PS3 folder or make a folder named what?

all i need is my ps3 hdd 3.15 to be formatted is there away to do it on a laptop? like removing the dvd drive or something??

my hdd it's corrupted data, i read it is a bug and that sony may fix it but i'm worried they will put it on 4.70.. if they do that then i will break into it and buy a flasher then put it on youtube just to anger sony

omg are these real i've been trying for hours with cfw and learning the differences now i have it all in order been up since 4pm yesterday it's 7:40AM nobody has legit cfws for update 4.70

are those files legit and real?? i cannot wait to get ahold of them.

man i really want those files i'm so tired i searched / watched hours of videos and read hours of guides i want a fixed and working cfw so bad i've stayed up since 4pm yesterday it's 8am now and no luck all i got was data corrupt data corrupt for each freaking cfw 4.70 pups...
