Iris Manager v2.25 PS3 Backup Game Manager Updated By Estwald

Sponsored Links
103w ago - Following up on their previous updates, PlayStation 3 developers Estwald and D_Skywalk (with help from Miralatijera) have updated the PS3 backup game manager known as Iris Manager to version 2.25 which now includes a File Manager with the changes detailed below.

Download: Iris Manager v2.25 for v4.XX PS3 CFW / Iris Manager v2.25 for v4.XX PS3 CFW (Mirror) / Iris Manager v2.25 for v4.XX PS3 CFW (Mirror #2) / Iris Manager v2.25 (Animated Icon) / GIT

Iris Manager v2.25 Changelog, roughly translated: New: in version 2.25

  • Added support for installation. PKG over 4GB and from HDD0 (in / dev_hdd0/IMANAGER4/PKG).
  • Added "File Manager / File Manager" (under "Tools / Tools"), with ability to create folders, delete, copy, move from file / folder or by group selection.

Example: copying to a USB device in the x: \ iris \ PKG PKG the fragmented (.666 xx files generated by split4G.exe, for example).
From Iris Manager, go to "Tools" use "Copy from / dev_usb / folder iris Iris" and "Install. PKG" unplugging USB storage devices, to show the / the. PKG / dev_hdd0/IMANAGER4 / PKG. Normally install.

It also has the ability to:

  • mount / unmount "/ dev_rewrite" (device / dev_flash with writing),
  • make dumps of LV1 (CFW that support only LV1 peek / poke) and LV2,
  • hex editor,
  • launch. SELF
  • install PKG

Hold Start for one second to access help and know the function of the various buttons

More details: Upon entering, we find the split screens or windows identical sections, A and B. Both are shown at the top, all devices in the system and to change section we use L1/R1.

With L3/R3, we can rotate quickly to current section list, devices, Iris Manager directory or the current directory of the other section. At the top of the window shows the full path at all times and free space on the drive, so you do not lose the orientation

Of course, clicking on folders or devices we listed the following directories / files, provided in alphabetical order and by some new routines that allow us to quickly handle the character set UTF-8 Japanese font and used it for titles.

The sense of having two windows, is obvious: it is easily to provide a source and a destination to copy / move things. The origin is always the currently selected window, obviously.

The root folder, which displays all devices, is special: there no control of our actions and only allows us to select the device with EQUIS, to work from there

The Circle button is used to select / deselect files or folders groups one by one, while the square select / deselect groups all files / folders in the directory. Some actions like copying files or Movement respond to this selection in a group or if there is none, to the folder or file pointed to by the cursor (always overrides group selection, even if only a selected file)

EQUIS button serves to list the / device or perform actions on selected files, then describe.

With the SELECT (eye, go into any device before, it does not work on the screen devices) to the menu of options. Remember to always refer as the source currently selected window (the one with the letter blinking) and target the other.

  • New Folder: Create new folders

  • Rename: To rename files / folders

  • Copy: Copy files / folders. This action is considered 666 xx fragmented files to unite or if the device is not the hard drive, the files fragment xx large as 666. It makes checking available space before copying (copying routine is different to that used in other tasks so far, by the way) and error checking.

  • Move: This option behaves differently if it is to the same device (in which case moving files / folders directly and quickly) or if they are different devices (in which case it behaves first copied to the destination and then if no errors, deleting content source)

  • Delete: Delete files / folders. If you do not know what you do, the option of upsets XD

  • Mount / Unmount dev_rewrite and / dev_rewrite: Mount the device / dev_flash writable (and can cepillaros / dev_flash comfortable XD)

  • Dump LV2: Dumpea in the current folder the Game OS (with its descriptive name, date, etc.)

  • LV1 Dump: Dumpea LV1 in the current folder. This option only works for CFW> = 4.21 LV1 functions using PEEK and POKE. At 3.41 and 3.55 is more cumbersome and simply do not feel like it has something to do for a small utility ...

  • Exit: exit option. Also it comes with SELECT and TRIANGLE

Well, these are the choices overall. A particular level depends on the type of file.

Pressing EQUIS:

  • About. SELF: the run
  • About. PKG: Install PKG. Now let PKG above 4GB
  • On another file: Hexadecimal Editor

Files. SELF and. PKG can be curioseados with the hex editor, using a trick: before pressing CIRCLE to activate group selection.

Hexadecimal Editor (Is what is holding me by the way )

Capacities:

  • Modify files: The editor is simple, always amending current presentation, running some action to change it, we are asked to save the changes. This action depending on the context, means the loss if the changes are not saved or prevents new action that would cause such changes. We recommend, strongly, to proceed first to create a backup of the file to modify, for obvious reasons.

To modify the files, we have a series of buttons:

  • L1/R1 Decrease / increase in current selected one byte. It has ability to auto repeat
  • Decreases EQUIS nibble (half byte) currently selected
  • Increases CIRCLE nibble (half byte) currently selected
  • SQUARE: Restores the original value of the currently selected byte
  • START: Restores the original value of all bytes of the window

To move, we have the following buttons:

  • LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN to move the cursor over the window. Exceeding the limit address above or below 16 moves in 16 bytes. If the window is changed and the changes are not saved in the option that appears not scrolls. It has auto repeat.
  • L2/R2 to quickly scroll through the file. It has auto repeat and speed is increased exponentially, to keep the buttons pressed.
  • Absolute jump to the address described in the next section.
  • Press SELECT to the menu of options. Here it should be noted that if changes are not saved are lost immediately.

Options:

  • Go to Address: Option absolute jump: it shows a window with a keyboard where enter hexadecimal addresses easily. With LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN we move through the keyboard, with EQUIS enter number with SQUARE remove the digit from the end, with L2/R2 we can move into the number and accept the jump with circle. With SELECT close the window.

  • Find Hex: Search hexadecimal values (down). We can look for from 1 to 8 bytes. By default, it shows 4, but with L1/R1 can reduce or increase the number of bytes to seek. With LEFT / RIGHT / UP / DOWN we move through the keyboard, with EQUIS enter number with L2/R2 we can move into the number and accept the quest CIRCLE. With SELECT close the window. Press L3/R3 can repeat the search backwards and forwards, in hexadecimal editor

  • String Find Search strings (down). Press L3/R3 can repeat the search backwards and forwards, in hexadecimal editor (note: this option is not yet implemented)

  • Exit: Exit

I think with these options is enough for a hex editor "campaign" with which to make small arrangements from within the PS3

Apart from this, now you create a folder inside the folder PKG Iris Manager: from there you can install PKG with the option to "Install. PKG" if we copy one (without being inside another folder, eye) and we have no USB device connected (if we have one, normal thing if we just copy from there, unplugged)

The idea is this: the "Copy from / dev_usb / iris lets you create a folder on the USB device called iris / PKG and fragmented files and supports 666 xx, it can upload files larger than 4GB to be composed as one in HDD0. then when unplugging USB devices, the PKG is visible only have to be moved to where it finally settles in an instant.

In order to see what you think the new options and if anyone can make a summary pitinglish, to go forward job, I appreciate everyone.

PS: As you can see, the options are in English and will not be translated: English is a very basic and many of the options, may have no use for an ordinary user.

IrisMAN Changelog 3.36 (Jan 2/2015):

IrisMAN Changelog 3.37 (Jan 4/2015):

  • Updated the patches by deank for 4.65/4.66 (fix errors 80010017/8001002B/ignore LIC.DAT/proper anti-ODE patch).
  • Added reset USB bus for usb games launched on Cobra/Mamba (thanks to deank)

IrisMAN Changelog 3.38 (Jan 6/2015):

  • Removed the reset USB bus introduced in 3.37 (it was causing conflicts and delays)
  • Updated mamba payloads with the newest versions from PS3 Manager 1.1.1 by _NzV_

IrisMAN Changelog 3.39 (Jan 23/2015):

  • Added shadow copy when installing PKG as bubble from hdd0
  • File Manager: Added support to install all the selected PKG files as bubble
  • File Manager: Added option to mount folders as /dev_bdvd (like webMAN) TIP: For NTFS, instead of install the pkgs as bubble, copy the packages to /dev_hdd0/packages, mount the folder as /dev_bdvd, then use Install All Packages
  • File Manager: Added support to replace /dev_hdd0/webftp_server.sprx with the selected webftp_server_*.sprx
  • Create /dev_hdd0/classic_ps2 when a PS2 Classic is mounted

IrisMAN Changelog 3.40 Beta (Jan 28/2015):

In my tests it fixed the issue with /PSXGAMES. This beta has also a major internal change (some functions now use only the ntfs functions to access the files, instead of lv2 + ntfs functions).

Additionally I added the option to load any sprx in the slot 6 through the File Manager (like webMAN MOD does).

Thanks to: Estwald, Joonie, Habib, deank, u$er, Cobra Team.

LastPlay v1.03 Changelog:

  • Based on IRISMAN 3.37 (deank's patches for 4.65/4.66/Reset USB Bus on Cobra)

webMAN MOD 1.41.00 Changelog:

  • Added auto-fix of PS3 games in ISO/game folder formats (4.20-4.66) (needs more testing)
  • Added shortcut SELECT+O to unmount current game
  • Added more translations webMAN.xml (DK, PL)
  • Merged changes made by deank in webMAN 1.41 (official)
  • Reset USB bus (usb games now are mounted from /dev_usb)
  • New blackscreen patches (ignore LIC.DAT and fix errors 80010017/8001002B)

  • Removed cobra_lib_init()

Note: The binaries of webMAN 1.41 official are now included in the pkg.

webMAN MOD 1.41.01 Changelog:

I have updated webMAN MOD 1.41.01. The version 1.41.00 had a bug calculating the PS3_SYSTEM_VER of the PARAM.SFO and the game fix was always fired when a PS3 game was mounted.

  • Fixed an important bug in version detection fixing games

webMAN MOD 1.41.02 Changelog:

  • Merged code from PS3MAPI 1.11 (Jan 5, 2015) (Thanks to NzV)
  • Fixed folder naming during backup of PS3 game mounted on /dev_bdvd
  • Added missing game fix feature to nonCobra editions
  • Added Quick and Forced game fix options (Thanks to kokotonix for the idea)
  • Function get_title_and_id_from_sfo() now receives a buffer of 4KB as
parameter, instead of allocate it internally.
  • Fixed label "Refresh XML"
  • Add disable syscall 11

"Quick" game fix will scan only USRDIR on game folder, instead of all subdirectories (the default "Auto" mode). "Forced" will force the fix of the next game mounted. Then the setting will be changed to "Quick" mode, to avoid an unwanted game fix by mistake.

Also prepNTFS 1.06 was updated followed by prepNTFS 1.07 (webMAN MOD Edition). It now also extract the ICON0 and PIC1 on multiMAN's cache folder.

PrepNTFS v1.09 (webMAN MOD Edition):

The new prepNTFS 1.09 adds another neat feature for the users that have their isos on FAT32 and want to move them to NTFS. Former versions of prepNTFS only supported non-split ISO images. If the game was stored as split iso, the user was forced to join the files to be able to play the games with webMAN. Now, split ISOs can be mounted with webMAN on both drive formats (fat32 & ntfs)... Credits to Estwald for all these features.

Download: prepNTFS_1.09.pkg

Update 1.08 2015-01-15:

  • Added support to scan 1 level of subfolders on PS3ISO / PSXISO / BDISO / DVDISO (previously only 1 letter subfolders was allowed or iso with the same name of the folder)

Update 1.09 2015-01-30:

  • Added support to scan split iso (.iso.0) on NTFS

webMAN MOD 1.41.03 Changelog:

  • Fixed issue navigating files through webMAN's File Browser on MSIE.
  • Fixed access to files with ".html" extension on Chrome
  • Fixed detection of games named like: "Name (4.xx).iso" on NTFS

webMAN MOD 1.41.04 Changelog:

  • Added support to show multiMAN's covers for PS1/PS2 using the title ID on the file name of the iso
  • Improved title id detection when it is the format: XXXX-YYYYY
  • Updated translations: russian, chinese
  • Fixed regression in the installer when the plugin is installed in /dev_hdd0/plugins

webMAN MOD 1.41.05 Changelog:

  • Added support to mount .MSF .IMG .BIN files for PSX/PS2 (they will be mounted properly if a .CUE is not needed)
  • Reverted file listing buffer to 512 bytes (to support longer file names)
  • Html code in file listing is now auto-simplified when the buffer size is exceeded. If the file name is too long, the file entry will be ignored to avoid html errors.
  • Detection of iso in game use less strstr calls (thus a bit faster)
  • Display plugin edition on rebug editions
  • Avoid launch loop if autoboot is PS2
  • Improved display the icon displayed on html when a game is mounted
  • Swap PS2emus now backups the current emus on Rebug Toolbox
  • Various shortcut combos related to dev_flash are disabled by default (fool proof)

webMAN MOD 1.41.06 Changelog:

  • Fixed issue mounting PS3 games after having mounted a PSX game
  • Fixed regression mounting /net games (from 1.41.05)
  • Added extra delay 2 secs before report error mounting a game

webMAN MOD 1.41.07 Changelog:

  • Added webGUI for ps3mapi editions (thanks to NzV) webGUI can be accessed from any device with a browser. The PC Client is not longer needed.
  • Multiple optimizations. Refer to github for details.

v1.41.08 Test Build (webftp_server_singstar_test.sprx):

This is a *test build* for .08 (still says .07). The new feature is: support to mount "extracted ps2 discs" as /dev_ps2disc (The concept is based on WuEpE's idea, but implemented in a different way and different source code).

Some background info:

  • SingStar is a cross platform game that allows to play PS2 content (songs) on the PS3 version of the game.
  • multiMAN supports this feature mounting of the related PS2 game as /dev_ps2disc.

How to setup the files:

The PS2 game should be copied as files (not as ISO) inside the game's folder with "[PS2" as tag label in the folder name of the ps2 disc's folder.

Example: /dev_hdd0/GAMES/SingStar [BCES00030]/[PS2] SingStar 80s

If the game is an ISO, the "[PS2] disc folders" should be copied into /dev_hdd0/PS2DISC

How to mount the game:

Select the SingStar game through the HTML interface of webMAN. Once the game is mounted, a list of the related [PS2] discs will be listed under "Game loaded successfully."

Start the game through the Bluray disc icon. To swap the disc a PS2 disc, mount one of the [PS2] discs listed on the browser. The PS3 disc will be unmounted and the selected [PS2] disc will be mounted as /dev_ps2disc.

I don't have this game to test this feature. Maybe it is not working as expected. The description of the swap method used in the webMAN MODē build made WuEpE requires 2 physical discs (1 ps3 and another ps2 for detection). Maybe the discs are still required.

This include 2 new web commands: /mount.ps2 and /mount.ps2/unmount

Unlinke WuEpE's method, the unmount button (/mount.ps3/unmount) will unmount all disc types (ps2/ps3/psp/iso/ntfs/etc.). So the command /mount.ps2/unmount is only needed if you want to unmount only /dev_ps2disc

If the test is successful, a workaround could be implemented for mounting the [PS2] disc via XMB.

For the tests, it's initially intended for SingStar, but the feature can be used with any ps2 disc that must be mounted as /dev_ps2disc.

Currently the PS3 ISO games only detect the games in the folder /PS2DISC if the name contains the word "Sing". I may change that in the release version (if everything works fine).

Also I have updated the sprx to support the command /mount_ps2/ (unlike mount.ps2, it will unmount the /dev_bdvd and mount /dev_ps2disc). For the tests, this command should be called manually (replacing the "." in mount.ps2 with "_" in the generated links).

webMAN MOD 1.41.08 Changelog:

  • Added support to scan 1 level of subfolders on PS3ISO / PS2ISO / PSPISO / PSXISO / BDISO / DVDISO (previously only 1 letter subfolders was allowed or iso with the same name of the folder)
  • Added support to filter games by name/path on html game list (This feature allows to search games grouped by genre or by any other category) Use: /index?name-to-be-searched
  • Removed redundant code adding entries in file list (html)

webMAN MOD 1.41.09 Changelog:

  • Change: Display multiMAN cover (if available) instead of disc icon when mM covers are disabled and game has no ICON0.
  • Smaller memory footprint (~1.8KB less than 1.41.07)
  • Improved /net games in html listing (encode title, title with link)
  • wmconfig.bin now read the size of the file (if the size of the struct is larger).
  • Added display of MAC address from LV1 at 0x71C1B0
  • Temp/fan speed ranges are validated in a better way
  • Improved fix_iso with changes suggested by kokotonix
  • Integrated dump/peek memory to webGUI of ps3mapi
  • Added > to memory viewer (/peek.lv)
  • Increased allowed lv1 memory address
  • Fixed issue that was breaking the plugin when SELECT+R1 or SELECT+L1 was pressed.

webMAN MOD 1.41.10 Changelog:

  • Build 1.41.09 has issues with some users due a buffer was too small.
  • Reverted a change in the html syntax of "checked" that caused bugs in PS3 browser.

Thanks to Joonie that helped me to find the cause of the issues.
