Iris Manager v2.11 PS3 Backup Game Manager By Estwald is Released

110w ago - Following up on his previous revision, this weekend PlayStation 3 developer Estwald has updated the PS3 backup game manager known as Iris Manager to version 2.11 with the changes detailed below.

v2.11 Changelog:

  • Fixed problem with usleep in PSX emulator
  • Fixed problems with truncated UTF8 strings
  • Fixed a problem when exiting the application after using the keyboard osk (?)

Quick instructions:

  • Install IrisManager pgk
  • Create a folder named PSXGAMES on the root of your internal HDD or External USB device
  • Inside the PSXGAMES folder, create a folder with your game name and put the game ISO / BIN / IMG inside

Example: /dev_HDD000/PSXGAMES/FinalFantasy7/FF7.iso

Note: For PS3 games, rename the folder GAMES to GAMEZ on your external HDD device.

Concerning Mr. Deank,

Following up on IrisMAN v3.32 and WebMAN Mod v1.30.35, today PlayStation 3 developer Aldo Vargas (aka Aldostools) made available IrisMAN PS3 Backup Game Manager v3.33 alongside WebMAN Mod v1.31.00 Multi 23 which add 4.66 PS3 Firmware support and 4.66 PS3 Spoofing followed by v1.31.01 Multi 23 with the changes outlined below.

Finally, in related PS3 homebrew news PlayStation 3 developer Joonie made available a WebMAN 1.31.00 Test updater (linked above) with the changes below, as follows:

Update: From aldostools: WebMAN Mod v1.31.01 (Multi 23) Updater PKG Changelog (2014-11-28):

  • Added 4.66 CEX detection in cobra build
  • Addressed bug displaying icons for split ISOs
  • Added option to only delete history (without clean syscalls)
  • Added buffers optimization for MAX/STANDARD memory footprints when some content is not scanned
  • Games now are mounted before display the web response, to allow to display the cached icon
  • Removed "hybrid" version of webMAN MOD for mamba (it partially solves the issue of webMAN for cobra mounting folder games on mamba)
  • Replaced habib's anti-ODE patches with the deank's patches from webMAN 1.31
  • Other internal changes in the structure of the source code.

And this is a new *test* build of mamba payload. It is for 4.65CEX and 4.66CEX.

It can be tested on IRISMAN or PRX+Mamba Loader... This is the source code of mamba (WIP). It adds the opcode SYSCALL8_OPCODE_MAP_PATHS needed to support the function sys_map_path.

The symbol cellFsUtilNewfs_symbol is currently defined only for 4.65 (and other few versions).
