June 30, 2014 // 3:12 pm - Following up on the previous PS4 modification, today Postfire and myself (proskopina) would like to share a Greek PS4 Cooling Fan Mod guide and LCD Display demo video below.

To quote, roughly translated from our Greek guide (via Soon we will go up and the driver.

Before you start to say that this guide is for you to manually adjust the fan speed to PS4 and know what the temperatures have our consoles.

We will not have anymore to automatic ventilators ie the console will no longer control run their fans.

The materials you will need are:

  • 2. Potentiometer 220kohm
  • 3. Soldering 15-20w
  • 4. Cables
  • 5. Stuck-versed + flux

Starting should open the console us (PS4)

To say that this guide LOST the guarantee of our consoles. On YouTube there are many videos on how open the PS4:

Anoigontas the PS4 we're going to point you see in the photo (on the underside of the parent) to glue the two cables.

These two cables 5volt and ground (earth) is to give current in our digital thermometer.

And see the point to be soldered:

Here they have already been tagged. Then brings the two cables to the front of our discs in top side of the parent:

Then you're going to find the plug of the fan. Seeing the photo you will find the plug and the fan has 3 wires brown, black and gray. We will cut the gray wire (is for the fan speed) in point showing:

Now I got stuck with our cable (orange cable) over the cut cable (gray) on hand that comes from the fan NOT BY THE SIDE OF VISMATOS WHO ENTERS THE PARENT.

Then you should go to plug the power supply and take and electricity. As you see in the photo to plug SUPPLY cut the cord showing:

And then ennonoume the yellow wire (ie black ennonoume back together with yellow):

Now we should put behind us and the mother to place the metal frame / lid. As you see the red circles are the cables that were made by our associations:

Once we are ready from the cable should be positioning our sensors below the medals gpu in order to pass the temperature. Unscrew the two screws and place the metal sensor in the center and retighten the two screws tightly goal:

Now we should make the associations in our thermometer and potentiometer us. Starting Collie 2 our cables (red + black) in our thermometer:

Then it stuck me 2 cables in our potentiometer. Bonds potrokali cable (speed sensors) and the yellow power cord over the potentiometer as shown in the photo:

That's it! We are now ready! Now that's left is where we like to place the thermometer and our potentiometer in order to suit us. In this particular MOD placed in front:

Still not sure the Mod is not finished. In the coming days will add and then to guide how you can make the plastic lid (DISC) with silica material, carbon vinyl etc to position the thermometer and the potentiometer.

Note: Of course which makes everything of the MOD your own responsibility!

The final finish will be with carbon vinyl, soon will be in English too... Greeks wish you the best!

I was going to suggest checking the guide linked in the main article, but it looks like you will have to wait until their site is back online as it appears down at the moment for the pictures.

Really cool. Just wondering though if that placing the temp sensor in that area will in any way cause hotspots on the cpu?

Excellent and helpful mod, very detailed! PS3news you can see that Greek people take over control their consoles.

These mods telling us when the system is overheated and when they want to relax. These guys have followed exactly my idea and they have this excellent results, Μπράβο Αλάνια
