June 27, 2013 // 4:59 am - Since the official Sony PlayStation 4 unveil, some pictures of the PS4 box contents and bundled headset have now surfaced.

Below are the details, from (linked above) to quote: "We already know that the box of the PS4 will include the console, the DualShock 4, a HDMI cable, a mono headset, a power cord, an USB cord and the instructions.

What we didn't yet know is how some of those components will look. Today the picture portrayed above has been floating on the internet. Is it the first picture or mock up of what will be inside the coveted PS4 box or a very well made fake?

Interestingly enough the USB cable seems to be a two meter one, at least making a visual comparison with an equivalent one I have at home, while the cable included in the PS3 was only one meter long. This might give some more leeway to those like me that like to play for extended sessions and prefer to have the controller plugged in.

Pushing the picture in question through some rather heavy enlarging on photoshop shows no real evident signs of alteration, but we weren't able to confirm the validity of the source, so for now we'll chalk it as a rumor. The headset looks a little cheap, but all in all it looks quite good, doesn't it?

Update: The picture is confirmed as legit. It appeared on the Amazon UK product listing together with a picture of the headset plugged into the DualShock 4, that you can see below."

During Sony's Press Conference they announced that the PS4 will support PS Plus Features and will require PS Plus to be able to play their games online. All users will be able to access their previous content from original PS Plus and their saves, along with more free games at the same less than $5 per month. Users will also be able to access all Sony Services such as Netflix, YouTube, Redbox, Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, and more without the PS Plus Subscription.

On a basic, each device (PS3, PSVITA, and PS4), will receive 3 games per month, per device. Meaning that within a year, if you have all three systems, you will receive nearly 108 free games per year! Along with great online services such as,

-Free Games
-Huge Discounts (10% - 75%)
-Great Exclusives
-Automatic Updating
-Online Game Save
-Full Game Trials
-Early Access to Content
-Gets better each year

With this being said, Sony has not only made a great quality and affordable console known as the PS4, they have created an amazing service that allows users who can't afford games the ability to get 108 free games per year on 3 different PS Plus enabled devices for less than $5 per month.

Sony has done a great job and has gone in the direction we have all wanted. Great Online service. Although you must pay for multiplayer, it is very good to see Sony offers much more to make that $5 per month worth it. Every Penny of it. Microsoft has definitely gone down in the gaming industry after losing 2 generations in a row.

Don't worry though, PlayStation Network online multiplayer will only require PS Plus for PS4 Games. Your PS3 and PS Vita will not require PS Plus, but I HIGHLY recommend getting it.

Hope the Micro$oft will choke with it's treating customer like milking cow policy I hate M$ for this, hope they fail in any way possible for making those stupid rules like paying for second hand games fee and internet connection needed at all times

Thank you Fokker. I don't want to pay for playing online so this is the end of the line for me.

Umm - is that "Aux" port on the back USB or AV? Either way - it will sux it it's only one of those as it will be missing back USB or AV port all together ...

And - why the hell it still has only bluetooth 2.1?? At least USB3 is there (unlike on Vita - it's PATHETIC to try to copy over anything on it via USB 2!) and finally HDMI cable is included instead of pretty much useless RCA AV cable (unless indeed you want to split analog audio).

Pitty though the camera is not included as it was promise / rumored earlier. Cheap mono headset - I can get better in Pound / 99c stores ...

I agree 100%. I've built countless computers that can play games maxed out that inherently beats the pants off both the ps and xbox for well under $1000. None the less I enjoy all gaming platforms. I will be getting both consoles.

That said I can't wait to start messing around with both consoles.

I, for one, have just pre orded my ps4. Can't wait but then again I have been getting excited about console releases since the stone age, well the late 70's and the atari 2600.

I missed the conference yesterday but a friend told me that PS Plus was needed to play online in the PS4, is that true?

I'm glad they made a more square design, i always hated the shape of the PS3.
