October 18, 2009 // 6:57 am - Here are some extremely rare pictures of the Debug PS3 DEH-H1001-D aka "COOKIE-13" PlayStation 3 prototype from late June '06.

Pics by Cookie Monster from Sesame Street, and brought to you by the numbers 11 21 08.

The JTag port does have the headers left on this unit... see a picture below and the rest HERE.

The pictures compare early and release hardware to these prototype counterparts.

Are you sure it's ok to post serial numbers and stuff for prototype machines ?

For example this one: http://www.ps4news.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19106

Sony could probably track them down. People even hide their PSP MAC address when they post a tutorial on Youtube or forums, blogs, etc. Next time maybe you should censor the serial numbers too. Better safe than sorry.

No if you look at pics this bd drive is like all others.. pads tinned but nothing there... all ps3 drives seem to have been programmed by this.... but i dont understand why ppl keep on about bd drive in this thread... it is the connector on the main board that is shown.

if you are talking about the jtag on the BD drive, it is nearly confirmed to be alive by skygames...

Hello ticos. It is with great joy to return to the news in our forum.
In the JTAG port of the PS3 BD ROM 3v mixed signals. Then it probably is not dead but we have to do more tests and will soon put photos here

Now why I focus so much on the flash? Because if the retail cant be accessed then with a flash in had we could flash it somewhere else and make like a mod chip. Then solder it onto the bluray, the chip has by force those lines alive since the onboard flash uses it. Assumptions again.

I actually wanted to ask if Cookie Monster actually owned the console or if he was posting the pictures to show that early revisions had an intact JTAG. I was pretty sure he owned one when he stated what kind of firmware "she" was compatible with, but now I'm not so certain (also considering that the pictures were taken in 2006).
