    the ps3 has a nice amount of supported formats, wish sony would do the same for the psp.

    You can play .avi if the codec DivX or Xvid.

    I have had some mkv files work ok. I believe it's something to do with the compression ratio and not the container. There were tons of articles on the web about it and even some quick fix guides. Do a search if you are really interested. But i gave up and now just stick to xvid and divx as so far i have had very few files that wont run with this method/container

    Yeah it rocks being able to load them straight onto sony and play back as I got sick of converting them with nero onto dvd as it was taking 4hrs!
