[Answered] PS3 Slim Drive won't pull in disc KEM-450 help?

    Hello,

Anyone have any experience with a KEM-450 drive issue where it wont accept a disc? I pulled it apart, checked alignment, and tested all the switches and the drive motors also. The system wil start up when you try to push in a disc, but won't pull it in.

One thought is that maybe the laser is gone. Any help is appreciated.

I also tested the ribbon cables.

turn off the system without a disc in the system, then insert the disc while console is turn off, when you inserted the disc, the PS3 will turn on without pressing the power buttonl if not then probably the sensor is not working, if its control board fault try launching a game, if it stuck on black screen then your control board is broken, the only option is to remarry a new one (if jailbroken) or send it to sony (which it aint happening anyway since you void the warranty)

Could be a Faulty Control board if it won't accept a disk

Check the troubleshooting post - http://www.ps4news.com/forums/ps3-he...lp-124056.html
