PS3 Firmware Version Check + PSN error 80710092 help?

I compiled ettercap with the support of plugins as it says to do on the 1st page of the ps3 firmware version check thread on this forum.

Copy the new etter.dns file from ps4news.com.

    Fire it up with

[Register or Login to view code]

Go to my ps3 and try to sign in. I get this on my linux computer

[Register or Login to view code]

Then after a few seconds my playstation error out with this code

[Register or Login to view code]

What gives? At one time this use to work but now I can not. Anybody out there using this method to bypass the firmware check to get online. I haven't played online for like two months but now I am itching to, but I don't want to update to 2.36.

Try the CF3B5's PS3.Proxy.Server.GUI, create a new text file and paste the following text:

    # US
    Dest=84;ImageVersion=00000000;SystemSoftwareVersio n=0.0000;CDN=http://xxx/PS3UPDAT.PUP;CDN_Timeout=30;
Add the following URL to the right field on the Replace Files tab of the Proxy:

If you're in Europe, the URL should be:

Enter the path of the text file you created above. It works fine with fw2.35 to bypass 2.36.

Does anyone happen to know how to change ettercap on linux to support what CF3B5's PS3.Proxy.Server.GUI program does?

I don't have any windows computers and I would like to keep using ettercap but I will try to install CF3B5's PS3.Proxy.Server.GUI thru wine.

Got it working under ettercap in linux. Change the etter.dns file from:

[Register or Login to view code]

[Register or Login to view code]

the site received an new IP but the etter.dns file locate on here is not up to date.

Yep, I just had CJPC update them accordingly... so they should be set now.
