    [Answered] Ps3 80 GB help

    hi to all, I have a ps3 80 GB and I wanted to know if there was a way for them to read the ps2 games and ps1?

    The 80gb will read PS1 discs, but not PS2 discs, unless you have the limited edition hong kong/japanese metal gear 80gb version. or 20gb/60gb jap/usa/eur version.

    Sony have software emulation progress for backwards compatability so you will most likely be able to play most* games when they do so, even if they will be a little buggy.

    * assuming not all games will work

    Yes, there is a thing you can download from the Playstation Network, the name escapes me right now, but it allows you to play any Ps2 game, though I'm not too sure about playing Ps1 games.
